Re level-up, Rana is definitively going Pact of the Chain (spider) -- I have this vision of the group gathering odd little things and allies at each quest end (bits of deklo tree, music boxes, spider familiars, friendly farmers) that somehow end up being instrumental beating up on the Big Bad

I don't think the party has a woodsman axe or a battle axe. Do you really want to chop down a tree with your hand axes? It is possible to do you just will have to pass up better trees for one that is a bit thinner in diameter.

EDIT: Also there is group loot to add to the pot. I think Emmyr is taking care of that, correct?

Did we assume we would be cutting down trees? I would think we would have bought an axe. Can I pay for one with my gold and say we have it? Seems a thing an adventurer would have anyway, considering camping.

I never thought we said we'll bring the wood. That was a grab and run option if couldn't clear the woods. Let the woodcutter earn his pay. We might pick wrong tree, one too old or too dark or whatever
