Don't overthink the technical bits. Just tell the story and things will fall into place. There's bound to be hiccups here and there, but we'll get it worked out. At least that's how it's been in my experience--I try and try to get things organized and planned and laid out just perfectly so everything goes smooth. But inevitably the answer to one question raises three more, and I've done more planning than playing. Eventually we just have to pull the trigger and go. Things will work out.

Great advice.

I am usually good with "winging it" as I did with the illusionary wave post. As long as I have a rough ideal of what I wish to get across to the players, I normally can fit that square peg in that round hole.

If anyone wishes to "go back" and add in a discussion there character had with another during travel time or during watch. I would post the discussion here on the topics they talked about (what your character let the other know about him/herself) and then add it in tidbits among your other posts in the IC as we play.

What Templeton and Hexiros talked about during hours of travel comes to mind.

We could also Detect Magic / Traps on the doors that look different (you know, reliefs, images...) - but it would be over the top to check each door that way UNLESS you train us by springing a trap on every door :)

Definitely check for traps. Unfortunately, Detect Magic might lead to lack of spell slots, as it isn't a cantrip in 5e. :( Unless you're a warlock with Eldritch Sight. My magic users usually don't take it.

Didn't know this :( And I play a priest in another adventure - one would expect me to notice such small thing :) I'm getting a wand at first opportunity. And way to use it.

Detect Magic is a ritual though, so important stuff we can take the time to detect without spell slots. Gwylla does not keep it prepared, but wizards can ritual right out of their spellbook.

Sorry for my lack of posting. No real excuse.

No problems there I will make sure you will have plenty of time to make up for lost time as we go. But as I said if you wish to have a conversation with Templeton as they march along, you can give details here about the subjects, or you can just have it that you talked about your background, giving the character now the same insight the player has to Hexiros's backstory.

Lot of play left before this one is said and done.
