Revising the "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen"

And in keeping with the Columbo theme, it wouldn't matter who the villain was, he would be played by George Hamilton.

But Wolfe is the wrong time period, isn't he?

The first one was written in 1934, but the last was written in about 1977, and he never aged more than a few years during that time. You could probably get away with it. :)

He's the Maggie Simpson of Detective Drama!

I haven't read nearly as much Nero Wolfe as I'd have liked. I was trapped in Samoa for a month once, and the house I was staying in had a couple of the books... and I think I read just about every book in the house :)

But that's about it.

What would you say to Adrian Monk as a modern-day equivalent, Piratecat? Brilliant but... well, with issues.

Allan Quatermain wasn't a villain!

Neither was Mina Harker, in her original source material...

Allan Quatermain, was a hunter that turned his back on the empire and worked just for the money. In the comic he is also a opium addict.

Mina harker was a divorced woman () and held relations with questionable foreigners.

Not particulary sqeeky clean peoples.

:D

Yes, but not "villains" either.

Edit - as for all being British, the Three Musketeers and d'Artagnan were members of a previous incarnation of the League, and they're French :)

Well Nemo is not really a villian either.

You can argue that case for Dr Jekhyl as well.

Ok Griffin, he is pure bastard :)
