Ring of Wizardry

One of my players brought up a point. and I want to know if what he says is true.

He states that if you have a Ring of Wizardry 1, and have a character who has Bard/Assassin/Wizard and Sorceror levels.

That all 4 Clases, Level 1 spells would be doubled. Is that true?

I think the ruling is it can only work on one class at a time.

It only doubles one Arcane Class spells per day

It doubles all arcane spells of the appropriate level, but only base spells - not bonus spells (from high abilities or magic items).

I would allow it to mult all the first level spells for every class.

I mean gees, a, what, 8th level character with nothing but a bunch of 1st level spells? Oh, no, better watch out!
