Walid ibn Jaffa al-Souk is an eccentric merchant, eager to boast about the efficacy of his alchemical wares and wish a customer a fine sunset. He seems nice – too bad he died years ago. Walid and so many others are little more that suits of clothes these days for a strange and insidious puppetmaster. The scuttling intellect devourer Ur-Shogga is a hidden master of the Tarnished Souk, hiding behind the smiles of its hollow-headed host bodies as it plots, plans, and gathers power.
