Rogue / Cleric combos

Gnome

First Post
What are some good Cleric/Rogue prestige classes that don't take too much away from spellcasting? In this case, I am looking for advancement options for a fellow player's Rogue 1 / Cleric 6. She is Human with the Able Lerner feat, and concentrates on social skills: bluff, perform, gather info, etc.

There is the shadowbane stalker from Compete Adventurer. They are the Rogue/Cleric counter point to the Shadowbane Inquisitors (Rogue/Paladins).

Great class, only drawback: No turn undead progression, membership in a secret organisation and Lawful Good alignment.

A modified Divine Prankster from Races of Stone could be good. By default they are Gnome only, so that prerequisite would have to be changed.

It's more of a bard/cleric multiclass, but is good at social skills. I am away from my books right now, but as I recall they can somehow avoid AoO from spellcasting in melee and make illusions spells more powerful. Their 10th-level trick is a joke so funny it kills people. At that point the character can probably cast save-or-die spells without the mind-affecting tag, though.

I don't have a problem with the secret organization or the alignment. As long as they are played Lawful good and not Lawful Stupid it should be fine. I never played the stalker though, I did play an Inquisitor, very fun to sneak attack+power attack+smite evil+divine might.

plus it was fun to see the look on the rest of the players face when I went from Rogue 2 to Paladin1.

Indeed, usually it's the sneak attack+power attack+divine might+smite GOOD. ;) And then the group starts to wonder why you needed that outsider contact again...

Indeed. Though I prefer to enter through fighter/rogue/prestige paladin ;)

Take one or two more rogue levels? Seriously, it doesn't take much sweetener. If you can end up with Rogue 3/cleric 17, that's a very nice combo.
