Rogues don't get uncanny dodge until 4 in 3.5

You take the fighter material as you were originally going to and then you should already have your level. If you're talking about changing things characters get in the sequence of their levels, it's a bad idea because then other people want to bend the rules.

If you're going to retro-grade a character, then go with what you were originally thinking.

I had not considered that this might be a problem with the other players some are dedicated power min/maxers.

It would just be easier not to switch in the middle of a game.

Hah, Prestige classes....

Hi Brekke!
Actually, I'd take that 4th level of rogue gladly. Can't have too much tumble, sneakstuff and so on. Order of the bow a level sooner or later who cares. If the DM keeps throwing heavy stuff at you, you'll level up sooner.

Hey you know we have talked on the Kenzer boards about my character before. There I use ElfWitch. Somebody else already has that name here. :(

I agree that an extra level of rogue does not hurt buy since I usually use my bow I really want the second level of the Prc that will aloow me to use the bow in melee and not get an AOO. Right now what usually happens is I get maybe one or two shots off then the bad guys are on top of me and I have to go to my sword. Since we are mainly in a city most of our fights take place in a confined area. And I wear only leather and I have a low strength so I am not as effective with the sword and I get hit a lot.
