I saw this at my FLGS and just about lost it. I must have! One of my players tends to roll dice right off the table, at least 20 times a night.

Luckily for me this guy is in my area.

Dang! can't find it offhand, but I bet it would be simple to do.

I like the idea, though and the wood one would paint up nice I bet.

If there were words to describe the dice rolling contraption we came up with last time one of my groups played, I would describe it. But there's not.

Let's just say it involved a cone shaped Toy Story on Ice hat, a wrapping paper roll and a shoebox. And Duct tape. Lots of Duct tape.

It got the job done though.

It was used for secret rolls, where we rolled but only the Dm knew what we got. It was .....amusing to say the least.

If you are interested in a more "collectible" version of same (something that would make an awesome birthday or christmas gift), then fellow poster alsih2o ( www.markdavispottery.com ) has ceramic dice rollers in some fantastic shapes for about $20.00. I came very close to getting some this past christmas, but could not afford to do it for my whole game group, so I decided not to. They are unique, beautiful, and I doubt you'd find anything comparable. If he still makes them for sale, contacting him would I'm sure net you some sample pictures so you could see what I'm referring to. He does excellent work, from what I'm told.

you need to get a craps table to game on. works wonders for minis and battle maps too.

Actually, dice towers are old hat for some games. At Advanced Squad Leader Tournaments it is not just bad form to roll your dice without some sort of container, it's against the rules. The last thing you want on a table covered in stacks of little cardboard chits (sometimes 10 high and close together) are loose dice bouncing willy nilly all over the table. It can end a game in a heartbeat.
