Roles to any Class

so since Themes will now be a feat-house, so i guess we will now have

defender theme
leader
striker
controller theme?

is this right? or striker will now be slayer?

I think a slayer theme would be one type of striker like role which focuses on melee.

I am also hoping there is a touch more to a slayer theme than just adding your DEX bonus to damage. Maybe some bonus or extra capacity to intimidate checks?
 

so artillery them will be for ranged.

what do you think of the rapist background and sex offender theme?

This all depends on how "tight" the roles are on the GM's side of the screen. 4e did a good job of clarifying what monsters could do and how to blend them together for the average DM. That "upped the game", making the PC roles more important to counteract the improved combined arms approach of the DM. If roles are important, then its hard just to have a simple add on that makes a cleric a striker, for example (I tried playing a cleric as a striker in 4e....it did not turn out so good :)).

I never understood why people keep trying to change want the fighter does. Just get back in the line and suck up some damage, will ya!
