Hasbro needs and is more interested into a new generation of fandom what recovering the older selling nostalgia.

yes, by definition they need to find new buyers, and these are overwhelmingly young people new to the hobby

I don't know the toy market to know where are the mistakes by Hasbro. Maybe we should ask in the forum of the action-figures fans.

not sure they made a mistake. Did blacksmiths creating horseshoes make a mistake for sales to drop once the automobile was invented?

The toys can be all fine, if they are tie ins to movies that underperform that will affect them as well, so if there was a mistake it was not recognizing the movie would do so, but that is not easy

And it is not only the toys, but also the cinematographic and the videogame industry is suffering a within crisis

videogames? they keep growing, movies are in a bit of a slump because we are over the superhero stuff and the studios have not reacted to that yet / still a pipeline of them they need to release before they can change course

As an action figure fan, asking action figure fans won't get you useful information. The thing is the market that used to grab toys (IE: Kids) doesn't do toys as much any more, and there's a sliiight issue with "Main retailers just not buying the product in question and leaving it sitting in warehouses for months" which they can't do anything about
