Romance between characters

Explanation...
I play in a 3e gaming group on Wednesday nights where we share the burden of DM'ing by having a common plot that each of us runs a short adventure in our character's home region. We all figure that the DM's character is off taking care of personal things.
Durring a session I ran I had the party meet my character's sister, even though she was a rogue, she had a crush for the paladin.

Story so far...
My character left the group and I started playing the sister (Fiora, Rogue/Fighter/Thief-Acrobat). In the rain she gets Eric (the paladin) to protect her from the rain with his shield. She always goes to him when scared or troubled. I've had her go with Eric when the party splits up for whatever reason.

What to do now?...
Anyway, I wanted to see if any of you have had similar things happen in your gaming sessions or if have any other ideas I could use later to keep the flirtations with the paladin going.

We've had several PC / NPC relationships develop in games, but not PC / PC (not thus far, anyway).

I think the first and most important question is: how are the other players reacting? Is the Paladin's player comfortable with the roleplayed attraction? Are the other players bored or put off by it? Do they make silly jokes?

If the attention makes the Paladin squirm, that's fine - even a bonus. If it makes the Paladin's *player* squirm, however, it's probably not a good idea. You also need to make sure that you're not irritating the other players because you're "wasting" their game time (since what you're doing can't really involve them).

I have to agree

If the player who runs the other PC is obviously bothered or hesitant, it should be dropped. We have had several PC/PC relationships (5 or 6) throughout the 15 years we have run groups and we as players know which ones are ok with that depth of role playing and which ones that it bothers. PC/NPC romantic plot lines are much more prevelant with us than the former. For those of us who do enjoy them, they add a sense of realism to the characters, and provide more plot device. However, there are always going to be players who do not wish to get that in depth or head down that road and their wishes need to be respected. I would sort of feel out the situation with the other player first, then see how to proceed.
