It's a wee bit different here, as Viking Bastard is apparently not in the states, and thus won't be able to see the cartoons for quite a while through normal channels. Plus, I have much less opposition to people downloading copies of shows that aren't on sale. If he keeps it after it goes on sale, then that becomes naughty.

I thought it was a little weird that they presented "John" and "Rick" as Viking names, but I otherwise rather liked both episodes.

Prince Jon, in the comics at least, was in the 10th century; long enough for Nordic versions of Christianized names to be used I would think. I dunno about King Rikk's name, but Viking Bastard should

I dunno what the Icelandic/Old Norse versions of Rick is, anyway, if there even is one.

Jon/John didn't enter Icelandic until the 15/16th century or so, but Iceland was always
a bit more isolated than the rest of the norse world, so it stayed more vikingy a little
longer.
