Two-Weapon Defense.

And my tip to win is Improved Initiative. Every class can benefit from it, and it only gets more useful as you go up in level, where a single round of actions first can tip the scale for a fight.

Eh. Winning initiative is only a minor benefit for most characters. In some cases, it's better for fighters to actually lose initiative so they get full attacks on the people who charged them.
A fighter who wins initiative can also delay until someone charges him, and he won't be flat-footed for the initial charge.

Out Damned power attack, Out I say

Power attack, a feat without a sutle side. Send it packing.

Come-on people, only THREE more votes and you can cause a MAJOR upset it the predictions for a winner!! Vote off Power Attack.

Oh and the winner, Heighten Spell - lets face it more fireballs are a good thing!
(and before you ask, yes fireballs are sutle!)

Improved Precise Shot

I just like to be a broken record. IPS is just the worst in feat design in the PHB, however useful it is for a character to take.

My tip, with reasons similar to why everyone chooses Improved Initiative (but this feats actually keeps you in the action istead of held or dominated):
Iron Will

Just a question - why is Improved Familiar on the list of feats - I cannot find it in the PHB, so it surely is not a core feat.

Like Leadership, there are feats in the DMG as well, generally those that 'require' DM approval first. Improved Familiar is one of those. It's in the SRD, if you want to look it up.

Hardly! My Ranger took it, at third level. This, with a good STR & BAB, and a strongbow work really well alongside TWF. Even "disarmed", he is a threat... 4-6 HP from 3+ attacks/round? Always threatens squares within 5'? The ability to do normal blunt or non-lethal damage (and, if a Rogue, the ability to do non-lethal Sneak Attack damage, too!)

Hardly a Feat for "Monks, only"! Add in Weapon Finesse and a high DEX, and it gets even worse! (You can't take all unarmed strikes away, without Trap the Soul!) :p

Apart from the non-lethal part, why not just simply go for spiked gauntlets? Saves you a feat, and you have the martial weapon proficiency already?
