Oh well. At least I've got Aphrodite has a toga. er, will have once I buy it. :)

Edit: First person who posts asking can have a Rich Cloak. Don't need one now that Aphrodite has her Toga. :)

Bugger all...

Y'know, an email mailed out to all community supporters would have been nice. :( If I had known I only had a few days left of playing my RPG character, I would have gone wild, giving away 100k chunks of money to newbies, and having fun watching them beat on the monsters...

As it is, having first had my PET deleted, and now having my Inshallah deleted (I was closing in on second strongest in the game, even though I was freakishly weak for my level...), I'm not inclined to start anew. :(

Oh well...

Actually, Heretic, I made it very clear that we were trialling the game while I got all the costs, rewards, salaries and so forth balanced, and bugs fixed, and that everything would be reset once I felt happy with it all. There were people who profitted immensely from bugs and/or major balance issues which have since been rectified. Everyone knew that creating an RPG character was a temporary thing while I fixed everything, and that everyone would be starting again on a level playing field.

Is there a consolation prize for losing a player-player battle?

Cause otherwise I can't see why people would want to do it. You and your opponent could start off flush with cash, and after a few battles (and visits to the temple) both end up broke.

And, aren't we going to have a rash of near-spamming again? Folks want 25 gp to get some cure light wounds, so they add .... "insubstantial" ...contributions to a few threads, or start some not-quite-pointless threads of their own. Either they get punished, which is heavy handed and detracts from the fun, or they get away with it, which is unfair to those who don't post when they have nothing to say.

I trust you when you say that you are happy with the salaries, costs and rewards, and that the bugs have been fixed. But I don't remember hearing that these issues were addressed.

And so it is with cautious optimism that I explore the reset...

[edit]Ah! I see the reward for posting is only 1 gp. Hardly an incentive to spam...[/edit]

Cheiromancer, I have challenged you to a fight to the state of unconsciousness!

AR aka Richard Nixon's Head

Cheiromancer raises a valid point:

If we can only fight 1 bot per day, and posting doesn't reward you much, and you only get money when you win, then how do you make money other than by trouncing on opponents weaker than yourselves (and even if you do, they probably won't have any money for you to take!)

Also, before we get a little chat channel to challenge other players, what will be the procedure to do so? PM's? Every challenge in one thread? A thread for every challenge?

AR

Edit2: I just fought the Bunny twice in a row. Is that normal? I couldn't fight it a third time though.

Edit3: How about resetting the bots also?

Edit4: When I try to fight myself, the system doesn't like it :) I get the following messages:

There seems to have been a slight problem with the EN World - Morrus' D&D/d20 News & Reviews Site database.

Sorry. I had to buy a club. And then I fought the bunny. And then I had to go to the University. And then I bought season 2 of west wing. And then I had to watch several episodes of season 2 of west wing.

But Richard Nixon's Head is on the chopping block!
