Dungeons & Dragons 5E gets new magic items and rules for selling and buying magic items including magic shops, and new adventures and adventure prep tools. Basic D&D also gets new campaign length adventures. Shadowrun gets a supplement, an art portfolio, and combo real world calendar with maps and adventure hooks. There are also three compact RPGs about scientists in exo-suits, helping a ghost remember living, and likely dying as ghost hunting reality TV stars thrown into a real haunted house.

T1 The Thing in the Valley (D&D 5E) | Path of the Vanished (BX) | The Lost Triptych (BX) by Pacesetter Games
  • SYSTEM: Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition/Basic D&D
  • PRODUCT TYPE: softcover adventure/hardcover adventure
  • RETAIL PRICE: $10/$45/$50
  • DESCRIPTION: The Thing in the Valley is designed for 4-6 PCs of 3rd to 4th level. Farmers, herdsmen, and woodsmen of Riversmeet have fallen victim to a mysterious and horrific creature. The call has gone out to summon the PCs to put an end to the terror. Now I want to know what the thing is. Path of the Vanished is designed for characters levels 1-7. Ruthless pirates make entire villages disappear in a single night; no survivor or corpse has been recovered. Darker still is the purpose that drives these new raiders as those that they captured do not appear in any of the black markets, near or far. The PCs are tasked to stop the pillaging. The Lost Triptych is a campaign for characters level 8-12. Minions of a rival deity have stolen a sacred artifact of a PC’s order with the intent to transform it to suit their own nefarious machinations. They have brought the holy device to the Mountain of Whispers, home to evil sycophants and zealot soldier. The precious artifact has been broken into separate pieces and hidden in secret locations to make it harder to recover. No doubt, the high priest Miltotok is preparing the rituals and spells to make the device a vessel for evil at this very moment. The PCs must kill Milotok, recover the pieces, and put both the artifact and their world right again. These adventures really sound intriguing and if anyone has run or played one I’d love to hear how it went.

Killer Ratings by Bannerless Games
  • SYSTEM: unique
  • PRODUCT TYPE: softcover core rulebook one shot
  • RETAIL PRICE: $20
  • DESCRIPTION: A one-shot, zero-prep, rules-light roleplaying game for three to five PCs. The PCs are the cast and crew of a terrible paranormal investigation show on the verge of cancellation. The good news is the PCs secured the rights to film the season finale in “the most haunted location in America.” The bad news is the place is actually haunted. In short, the PCs are loud, campy reality TV stars who blithely walk into one of the worst places on earth and most of them won't survive. But however it shakes out, it will make for great TV.
