[RPGA Volunteer] I didn't get a GenCon refund. Help, please.

I volunteered to run four slots at GenCon, and the agreement was that people who run four slots will have their entry fee refunded, mailed to them after the show, as I understand it. I have not received my refund.

I can understand that there might have been a problem, because Thursday morning, one event I'd signed up to judge turned out to have been mischeduled, and wasn't actually being run that slot, but I was assured that I would still be considered to have run a game. Perhaps it wasn't logged correctly, but I was just wondering if I could get some help getting in contact with whomever I need to speak to.

Also, did any of you buy your tickets, then sign up to volunteer at GenCon, and if so, have you received your refund yet?

Nope. I have not gotten mine yet. Troy Daniels specifically told me at the Con it would take three to six weeks. If I do not have it by the end of August I will start complaining.
 

Hey, I also Dmed 4 slots and was promised a refund.
Troy told me that we would get a check for the 4 day badge within 3-6 weeks after gencon.

Its just about been 3 weeks so If it doesnt come in the next 2 weeks i'll start to worry.
 


The thing I'm annoyed about is not being able to request RPGA adventures for the gameday I wanna run. It says I never reported some event or didnt pass the herald test, 2 things i did do.
 

RW, did you fill out the paperwork after each slot that said you ran a slot - and have it signed? If not, you may want to email Troy.
 

I still haven't received anything, so I'm going to notify Troy. Now to track down his email. . . .

Anyone want to save me a bit of searching, if they recall his email addy?

You don't want to e-mail troy, you want to e-mail the RPGA at rpgahq@wizards.com. I was not aware that folks were not getting their refunds. I will push this forward first thing on Monday morning.

e-mail sent - I'm in the same boat by the way. So, we know it is not a totally isolated incident.

Yup, thanks steve. I havnt gotten mine either....and i could really use that $$ now.
