"Nah, it was a bit freaky but nothing was burned...well my clothes but other then that..." John says with a shrug.

"We'll be fine here until you guys get the Professor back on his feet....I sure hope he figures out how to give us Super Powers, that would be so awesome." the first boy says.

Mr Jones looks over at Zenji to check that the sword weilding youth is still watching the scientists before smiling at the boys and continuing. "Yes super powers are awsome. But it really would be best if you came next door with me. The Professor needs help and it would be safest not to move him. If you come away we will be able to work on him in this room which will be much faster and he can get back to his experiments all the quicker."

[sblock=actions] Bluff+12 maybe.[/sblock]

The three students exchange a look, a shrug and climb off the bed, following Mr. Jones' suggestion. As they pass Zenji the girl comments, "Nice Sword." and as they pass the "entrance" Dr. Archeville made the first boy can be heard saying, "Wow, now that's a super power."

Zenji smiles a little under his hood but says nothing. A sudden flash of paranoia sees his hand reach for the sword to confirm it's still in his sheath, remembering the incident with the speedster earlier.

Archeville looks up again from Archer to his teammates. "Zenji, vould you come here a moment, please?"

Assuming the Awesome Antiquarian does so, Archeville asks "could you go ahead und use zhat staff of yours to hold Archer here, in case he gets up and starts rampaging? He appears stable for now, but who knows vhat vill happen. Also, did zhose students see to you to be under some form of mental persuasion? I've a feeling that to truly free all zhese people, ve'll need to confront zhe Minister... vhereever he is...."

"Huh? Oh, yeah, sure. Minister." Zenji seems distracted, but walks over to Archer and brings the power of the staff to bear on him. I wonder if he's still got any more of that stuff on him... I should probably search him. He considers that for a second and then kneels down next to archer, right hand still holding the staff, and begins patting him down carefully (so as not to be stabbed by any needles if they're there and not protected). If any are found, he quietly removes them and puts them in a small pouch in his belt.

Mr Jones Leads the students into an adjoining room. "Now we just need to wait." He says, "We don't want to get in the way while the Professor is treated."

Once the three are seated Mr Jones allows his thoughts to reach out and probe cautiously at a student's mind. He feels around for signs of tampering, anything that might be keeping them so unnaturally calm and if he finds anything gingerly attempts to reverse it.

[Sblock=actions]Using Mind Control 10 to attempt to counter any unnatural effects the students may be under. [/sblock]

Zenji finds nothing of interest on Archer's body. As Mr. Jones probes the mind of a student he easilly overwealms the girl's mind. Probing a bit deeper there is another presence one keeping her calm. Trying to use his control to break the eerie calmness, the girl nevertheless remains calm with no show of emotion; outward or inward.

As Jones peers into student's minds and Zenji keeps an eye on Archer, Archeville looks over the collected scientific and medical equipment.

OOC: I'm somewhat at a loss as to what to do at the moment. But checking out the enemy tech -- seeing exactly what was done, and perhaps figuring a way to reverse it - is an in-character thing Archeville's do.
