RS1-Stolen University (Salix Judging)

OOC: Jones does detect thought in the Centurion, its strength is animal at best.
Round Summary
Zenji flips the laptop into his hand as Mr. Jones taunts the Minister and disappears from sight. Archeville moves to the side and blasts at the Minister but the Golem, more agilily then such a large thing should be able to move, takes the hit instead, to no effect. The Scientest manages to raise his forcefield in time to absorb most of the blow, leaving Archeville with a bruise. "Archer does his own experiments, Mr. Jones and has for fighting I'm afraid I'm not very good at it. Octavious seems to enjoy it. the minister says as he disappears from view.

Round 2

OOC
the minister says as he disappears from view.
Is this just from sight or supersenses as well?

Still hiden behind the chair Mr Jones calls out "So wooden man you're good at fighting are you? Can you fight all of us at once?" Suddenly duplicates of the heroes appear, filling the room with noise and movement.

[Sblock=Actions]
Move: Taunt Wooden Centurion (1d20+12-5=13)
Free: Switch Aray
Standard: Create illusion. (Which I hope will sow some confusion. :>)

A lil' voice told me this thing's have Interpose... ;)

[sblock=Shoulder Daemons]Crap, where'd he go? Invisible? Teleport?

I'd wager teleport, it's what all the Evil Geniuses are doing this season.

... okay, so if it is, how do we find him?

Right now we should be more concerned with this thing that's trying to kill us![/sblock]

Archeville snarls in anger as he blasts away at the desk-thing,

Blast, +12 lethal (DC 27) (1d20+8 = 22)

"Jones, find zhe Minister, Zenji und I can take zhe golem!"

Round 2 Summary
The red light from Zenji's staff has little effect on the animated man as the room fills with duplicates of the Resolutes. Octavious growls his name as he smashes the chair Jones is hiding behind to pieces. It growls in frustration, ignoring Archeville's blast.

OOC: he's gone from both sight and detect thoughts

"Well, I guess I should spare the rod and spoil the child!" Zenji says as he slides the staff into its holder on his back with one hand and draws the Blade of Tanus with his other. Thinking for a moment, he muses, "You know, it occurs to me that I don't even know what that means. Oh well, still sounds cool!"

[sblock=ooc]Move action to holster the staff, move action to draw the blade.

Oh, and just to be clear, this Octavius fellow isn't human, right? These actions are based on the assumption that "Golem" is what he is, not his code name or something. If I'm wrong and Octavius is human, I want to do something else.[/sblock]

Shame, I had a plan for if he was just invisible.

With his cover destroyed and the minister gone, Jones clicks his heels, performs a neat pirouette and disappears from sight, as do his illusions.

The magician reappears in the room where Zenji and he found Jim recuperating, hoping to find the Minister rescuing his associate.

[sblock=Actions]
Move: ESP into Jim's room
Move: Teleport

"Most believe the line comes from zhe Bible, and it does happen to be a corruption of a line from zhe book of Proverbs," Archeville explains to Zenji as he pulls an odd widget from his labcoat pocket and screws it to the barrel of his blaster and weaving out of the golem's reach. "Zhe actual origin of zhe phrase is from Samuel Butler's narrative poem Hudibras. The Biblical version refers to a parents' right to use a reasonable degree of physical force in disciplining zheir children, whereas in zhe context of Butler's poem, it's decidedly more... bawdy."

"I do really hope this Vege-Ray add-on works," he concludes, firing a yellow-green pulsing beam at the wooden desk-thing. More sparks fly from the blaster than last time.

Attack roll with Snare 12 (DC 22 Reflex) (1d20+8 = 15)

OOC: Love that +10 untrained on all Knowledge checks from Jack of All Trades ;) So far this thing seems easy to hit, just impossible to hurt... Using extra effort to stunt Snare 12 -- causing parts of the wooden desk to spontaneously begin sprouting and tangling itself up, partly through accelerated hyper-photosynthesis and [insert technobabble here]. Fatigue goes to the blaster, as explained here.

Round 3
Zenji swaps his weapons as Mr. Jones and the Legion of Resolutes vanish from the room. In Jim's room he finds the boy still asleep and no sign of the Minister. Archeville's blast hits the automoton dead on and small green shoots burst out of it, immobilzing Octavious.
It growls and struggles but remains bound and helpless.
