RS2: The Tokyo Problem (Velmont Judging)

Ape is... really quite large, and am not as strong during daylight. Should I assist? Or stay hidden, and follow Ichitawa to his meeting?
Marie blinks at the reply. "Ape? WHAT Ape? Oh right, quiet. Uh...what ape?" Marie glanced around. "...Oooooh, that ape. Should we assist? Or should we wait for the inevitable 'Climb tall building' segment?"

OOC: I'm assuming it's going to be hard to miss, especially with us being on the rooftop now.

[sblock=OOC]Stealth Roll...well, being quiet never WAS something she was good at. I'm incorporating Scouts 'Aid Another' in this.

Stealth +0+2 = 1d20+2=7[/sblock]

Looks like a job for fighter airplane, yes?

Scout pauses a moment as she spots the massive ape from the rooftop, then answers Gus, "Stay with Ichitawa. Follow and remain hidden. See if you can glean more from of his fears and make note of the places he goes."

Scout then turns to Marie, "See if you can distract the ape and lead it towards the sea."

She then touches her communicator and speaks quietly, "Resolutes on scene, please report for coordinated assault upon ape."

"Archeville here, am en route to zhe Ape," Archeville replies as he switches from his "Cloaking Force Field" to his "Full Protection Force Field," then jets off (er, gravimetrically warps off) towards the giant ape.

[sblock=Random OOC Thoughts]I've just realized, since Archeville's "gravimetric cloak" (Concealment to Visual & Radio; Close Range; Blending) isn't Selective, he can't make parts of himself 'visible' (i.e., it's all-or-nothing)... so I'm not sure if he can respond via the Resolutes radio-based Communicator while his cloak is up. That could be an interesting complication. Then again, he does have Blending on it, which limits how fast you can move while concealed, but radio signals can't "go slow."[/sblock]

The ape lets out a roar as it jumps onto a building, clearly enjoying himself...but also looking for something. Now that the resolutes have gained heighth they can see he doesn't resemble King Kong at all...almost immediatly Mecha recognizes him as Donkey Kong

The guard indeed contines to ignore Sierra, focused on Titan who hasn't replied to the threat of his gun or his orders, "Hands on wall! he tries in english. The other guard continues to look at Sierra with adoration.

Ichitawa pulls out a cell phone and presses a button on it. "The Resolutes are at my building. Send another one over, we'll use the ape to lure out Kensai's band.

"It'll take me to long to switch to a more mobile form. On the other hand, I've got a really big hammer at the moment, and he's looking a lot like a nail. I just hope he doesnt start tossing barrels at us."

Marie leans over the edge of the building and takes quick aim with her 'rifle'. "Suck 120mm smoothbore, you damned dirty ape! APDS, FIRE!" There's a loud 'Whump' as her cannon goes off.

Using Power Attack at -3
Blast 10-Penetrating
Cannon Shot=1d20+7=9 *Ouch*
In the off chance that managed to hit...DC 28 due to power attack.

OOC: I'm assuming that Archeville -- with his +10 on Knowledge (Popular Culture) and +20 on Knowledge (Technology) -- would also know it's Donkey Kong once he gets a good look at it.

"<<Where's an Italian plumber when you need one?>>" Archeville quips in German as he flies next to Mecha Musume. As he reaches her, he can see she's preparing to fire at the ape, but his incredible brain can tell that her trajectory will be off by a few crucial feet. "Aim for zhe bullseye!," he calls out as he draws his electromagnetic screwdriver and uses it to paint a large fluorescent green crosshair on the ape's chest.

OOC: Trying to Aid Another on Musume's attack, to give her a +2 on her attack roll. Aid Another attack roll (1d20+8 = 15)

"He's... he's calling someone. Must be Boy. I think other monsters will be coming. Can turn him into whimpering child and not be seen, if would help." Gus whispers into his communicator, hoping the other Resolutes can hear him over the sounds of combat.

Titan watches the Doctor split, and swaits to see if Sierra has any effect on the gun toting men. When the second man threatens him in English,he grows to his full 30' and growls at the man with the gun, "You're out of your league, buddy". He swipes a large paw at him hoping to initiate a tussle.

[sblock= OOC] Growth (Free action), Unarmed attack (-2 due to size), Improved Grab–(Immediately start grapple as free action. Your unarmed attack inflicts normal damage and counts as the initial attack roll to start a grapple.)

Attack on armed guard to use improved grab (1d20+4=13) Not sure if that's going to cut it. :heh: If it takes him out I'd like to use takedown attack on the passive one, instead of the grapple.

Attack +6 (DC 20 Toughness, CRIT 20, Bruise)
Sorry for the delayed reaction :D

Mecha's shot goes wild, but it is enough to make the giant ape pause and look in their direction. With a mighty leap it lands on top of a building about four blocks away from the Ichitawa tower and begins to jump up and down on it.

As Titan changes size the man screams as he is plucked from the ground and passes out. Using the momentem gained by both the change in height and grabbing the man, Titan casually tosses him into the lovesick guard, leaving both men sprawled on the ground, unconcious.
