RS2: The Tokyo Problem (Velmont Judging)

[SBLOCK=OOC]Good point, D.Shaffer--I forgot to have Sierra make a Knowledge: Arcane Lore check--thanks to Jack of All Trades, she can try any knowledge check, but Arcane Lore is maxed out. Does she know anything about this samurai guy or the Dark Dragon from that? [/SBLOCK]

[sblock=Scout]As Scout maintains careful surveillance of the corridor, she is surprised by the unexpected new arrival, particulary by the method of arrival. She uses her senses to determine the structure of the ceiling along the corridor, and if there is sufficient space for her to fit in the crawlspace amongst the wires and air ducts, then she will silently and unnoticeably teleport there, following the girls as they move down the corridor and attempting to determine what lies before them.

[Blindsense to determine structure of ceiling in corridor]
[Escape artist +10 (to fit in crawlspace if necessary)]
[Stealth +30 (to avoid being noticed)]
[Blindsense to determine what is in the room at the other end of the corridor]
[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC (Everyone)]Just a reminder that we all do have communicators so if everyone else is within 2 miles of the tower, the we should be able to communicate directly on the resolute communicators. If it's further away, then we should be able to communicate indirectly through Kitsune's communicators.[/sblock]

Titan listens to Archville's japanes with a raised eyebrow. When he's finished he chimes in to their hosts, " It is an honor to assist you. Can you get us up to speed on the situation as quickly as possible, and guide us to where we can be the most helpful to the team? It might be useful to know what our strengths and weaknesses are. I can manipulate my size to be either large or small, Archeville's an inventor."

At the tower

The Dark Dragon doesn't have any arcane ties...however it was a plot weapon in the last Ninja Gaiden game...and looking at the samurai he looks almost exactly like Doku from the same game...[/sblock

[sblock=Circe]
The Dark Dragon means nothing to Sierra.

[sblock=Scout]
There does seem to be enough room for Scout to get above the ceiling, although it might block her blindsense from being able to detect anyone in the room below it.

Lots of workers down here! Mostly going to and fro but there is a small cubical farm...no rooms full of monitors like Scout had described, but there are men dressed in uniforms that would suggest that they were security.

At the Headquarters
"Ah, I am afriad that my small team will not be of much assistance. We have been targeted heavilly by whoever is sending these monsters to Tokyo. Just last night we almost lost Oni-Kage to the. he pauses "Fi-er? Yes, Fire Demon. From what little time we spent with the other resolutes I can tell you that the Shadow, the Spirit Talker and the Teleporter went to Investigate Ichitawa Industries.

The Shadow said he detected fear of Hiroshi Ichitawa-head of Ichitawa Industires- in a girl that they encountered at the last attack. The girl was with a boy who your team members suspect is the person behind the summons.
Kensai says.

Marie's eyes widen as she studies the Samurai thing. "...Oh hell, i dont think I've ever beaten that game." She looks around, trying to get as much detail as she can in case she has to make a hasty exit.

OOC: Wow. Who'd ever guess being an IC uber-otaku would ever come in handy. Heh.

Titan looks peevishly towards Dr. Archville, " Hey Doc, I don't speak the lingo, any chance we can keep this conversation in English?" He turns back to their host," Any ideas about who the boy is or his whereabouts? What makes you think he is behind the fire demon and other monsters"

Ah, uniforms! thinks Gus. "I am following uniforms. I am thinking maybe they will lead to security room."

Almost idly, Gus peeks into the head of the nearest security officer, looking for interesting fears.

OOC: sorry for the delay, had a bunch of deadlines creep up on me.

The Tower
It's a small hallway, about 15 feet long, 10 feet wide opening to the elevator lobby which is twice the width of the hallway.

Doku (the samurai) pushes the pair through the double doors and stands just outside them.
Sierra and Marie find themselves in a 30x30 office, the walls are banks of windows and there is a large desk opposite of the door. Two hardback chairs face the desk and a laptop sits on top of it. Sitting behind the desk is a japanese man in his 20s, hair tied in a pony tail and an a ponytail << Quite and interesting trick, teleportation.>> he says with a wry grin, <<Shall we see what else you can do?" he holds up a camera that Marie recognizes from the night before-it was the camera the girl had.

...
Looking into the guard's mind Gus finds an acute arachnophobia, and a fear like tension about Ichitawa. Otherwise the guard stands there, looking a bit bored as he checks badges.

The HQ
"Your teammates informed us that the boy they encountered in the park could summon creatures. I do not know if he was protecting the girl or working with her.

<<I'm sorry. Do you know the way back to the guided tour? You know, my older sister told me that the tours here were great, but I never expected such elaborate special events. And that samurai? Kawaii!! I could almost feel real murderous intent, that's how realistic it was.>>

[SBLOCK=OOC]As before, she'll keep him Fascinated and listening to her talk, unable to act, as she uses the Subtle Mind Reading to pick up useful information. His immediate and long-term plans, perhaps surface thoughts, etc.[/SBLOCK]
