Rules for Throwing People for Damage?

During a session last night, our party's half orc cleric (Str 22 at the time) picked up the opposing peon warriors and used them to beat the sorcerer they were fighting (Sorc10). I ruled (on the fly) that each peon caused 1d6+str damage after a standard melee attack (sorcerer was only 5 ft away from the half orc, orc spent one round grabbing the peon before striking with him. Ruled it was melee as the enemy was right near by, and applied the negatives for a non-proficient weapon).

My question is, what are the rules for attack/damage for tossing an enemy onto another, aside from standard grapples to grab the human/elf/whatnot missile? Strength checks to lift them? What damage does a flying body do to another person? I'd like to know the actual rules, if any on this, as I have an unerring feeling that since this attack functioned so well, the half orc might start doing it on a regular basis... :)

You could follow this:

Power Throw
General, Fighter- REQ: Str 15+
If you are grappling an opponent, you may make a grapple check to pick him up and throw him. Obviously, you must have a high enough strength to lift your opponent's total weight above your head. You may then hurl your opponent up to 15 feet, inflicting 1d4 + your strength modifier in subdual damage and leaving him prone where he lands. You may throw your opponent at someone. Resolve this as a ranged touch attack. If you hit, your target takes 1d4 + your strength modifier in subdual damage. If he is the same size or smaller than the enemy you threw, he is knocked prone. Your thrown opponent takes 1d4 + your strength modifier in subdual damage whether you hit or not, and lies prone in a random spot adjacent to your target. Use the rules for scattering projectiles to determine where your thrown enemy lands. You may opt to carry your opponent over your head. You lose your Dexterity and shield bonuses to AC, but your opponent is largely helpless. He may make attacks at a -4 to hit and deals half damage with physical attacks. He may cast spells, but must make a concentration check (DC 25) to successfully use a spell. He may use special abilities and magic items, except weapons which suffer the penalties as noted above, as normal. War, pg 46.

I play a monk with Great Throw in one campaign, and a ranged touch attack is used to see if I toss one bad guy into another, though for that feat it's only within my monk's reach, and he lands in the square I want whether or not I hit someone else with him.
 

Official Rules:

Improvised Weapons: Sometimes objects not crafted to be weapons nonetheless see use in combat. Because such objects are not designed for this use, any creature that uses one in combat is considered to be non proficient with it and takes a –4 penalty on attack rolls made with that object. To determine the size category and appropriate damage for an improvised weapon, compare its relative size and damage potential to the weapon list to find a reasonable match. An improvised weapon scores a threat on a natural roll of 20 and deals double damage on a critical hit. An improvised thrown weapon has a range increment of 10 feet.

Obviously, if using a "live' weapon (opposing peon warrior) you'd also need to grapple them first - grabbing them (AoO first, then touch attack to grab), then you need to succeed in a opposed grapple check to "hold" them.

The, next round you could use them to attack - I'd say that you need an opposed grapple check each round you want to attack to maintain the hold and to be able to use them as a weapon (one check). Plus, I would not allow a full attack routine due to the combination of having to maintain the grapple and the significant awkwardness of the action attempted.
 

Well, you also have to consider that a person isn't really an object.

Also, if they have a range incriment of 10' feet, that is a super cheesy way to get around jumps. CMIIW, but I beleive you can throw a weapon up to twice it's range incriment. So I could throw someone 20 feet, which they may never be able to jump on their own. Chances are I won't hit the exact spot I want to, but that's not the point really...
