(Rumor) Sword & Sorcery to publish D20 Planescape?

Like I said, "non traditional"... while it has its unique elements, I honestly can't see Mystara getting pick up when you have Kalamar, Greyhawk, Forgotten Realms, Soverign Stone, etc etc.

Anything else?

Al Qa "fricken" Dim!

I would love to see this picked up- especially if some of the original people would work on the 3e version of it.

If not this, then AEG -- PLEASE -- turn Legend of the Burning Sands into a d20 world. It is too cool- and has PrC's, races, and monsters all layed out for you!

PHB, DMG, MM, Psionics Handbook, Deities & Demigods, Manual of the Planes, Sword & Fist, Tome & Blood, Song & Silence, Defenders of the Faith, Masters of the Wild, Living Greyhawk Gazetteer, Dungeons & Dragons Gazetteer, Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil, Living Greyhawk Journal, adventures in Dungeon Magazine, other articles in Dragon.

Looks like Greyhawk might come close :D

Still, Scarred Lands is good stuff, I heartily enjoy stealing material from it for my Greyhawk game.

But the GH material in those books is scant at best. The SBs are entirely too generic and some of them you mentioned may be just a sentence or two in some cases, and just the name of a prestige class in others. Sword & Fist and Defenders of the Faith seem to be the exception in the class books though. Scarred Lands has way more support than Greyhawk because with the information extracted from the books above you might get two or three books whereas SL has many more complete books.

My bad. I tend to think of Forgotten Realms when I think of Al Qadim.

Dragonlance

I know the people at the Dragonlance site weren't expecting the licensing deal with Sovereig Press as they were working on developing a 3E pdf for the setting. I believe the material is going into the hardback that is coming out though.

Kargatane is still the official Ravenloft site and I have no dout that planewalker will still be the official PS site even if S&S bought the rights, which if it is licensing is a temporary situation at worst and nowhere near a permanent thing unless the property is sold outright, which I highly doubt. I think S&S can help take PS to a new level, hell, they could possibly get Monte Cook working on it!!!

That's my thought behind it. Perhaps the WotC higher ups want Monte to work on PS stuff even though he's got his own company now. That might be why nothing been said since they might be discussing it with Monte.

In any case, thanks everyone for the kind Scarred Land words. I will say, those that are fans, the SLCS ROCKS! (As Psion/Alan can testify!) Also Wilderness and Wastelands is a must have for those that need and/or want a book to help with making Wilderness encounters as well as dealing with natural hazards and survival in the wild for their players.

Eh?... The Salt Lake City Setting? PCs can shoot for Olympic Gold whilst navigating intrigue in judging controversies?

I don't know that I'd embrace such a setting. Still, different strokes for different folks, as they say...

Heh... having lived the experience (I am originally from ID and have in-laws in SLC), I would have to concur.

What kills me is that on DS boards and mailing lists, Living Dragonstar is regularly abbreviated LDS. :)

At any rate, I can only guess you are joking. In case you're not, it refers to Scarred Lands Campaign Setting. And it does, in a word, rock. :)

Yeah, and what's with that "Jazz" Prestige class anyway?
