(Rumor) Sword & Sorcery to publish D20 Planescape?

Well, if neither Ashy or Orcus has heard anything about it, that's good enough for me.

I'm thinkin' someone's been misinformed.

But, of course, I reserve the right to deny I've ever said this when and if S&S announce that they do, indeed, have PS. :)

Woa, hold on there. I didnt say I hadnt heard anything about it. I just said I wasnt involved in it and hadnt asked Steve about it _specifically_.

So....no one has told Clark anything....ergo, he hasn't heard anything yet....

At least, that's what I was jumping to. You may not have mentioned it specifically, but neither have they mentioned anything to you specifically...so you haven't heard anything one way or the other yet...?

Unless you've heard something about it and just haven't asked Steve about it specifically...which would be wierd, I think. :) Not impossible, though.

Anyhoo, it's semantics.

As for the thing up on ps3e, that's about the recent idea that Brannon and Ken (Ken's the go-to guy for 3e PS, really) had to, instead of develop the rules and ideas themselves, give it to the ps3e workers and community to help create, and the discussion that's going on now.

As it sits, we're still working out how to do factions, but that's the only real major mechanical difference between PS and anything else. Most other stuff is flavor, races, PrC's, etc. The Factions are a big rules-sticking point, and everyone and their invisible friend has a few good ideas on how to do 'em.

Of course, if S&S picks this up and decides that we can't release the offical 3e version or work on it, all of our plotting, planning, and bickering will come to naught, as they'll do it "Whichever Way They Please," and it'll probably be cool regardless. ^_^

So, unless Clark is hinting that he may have heard something but hasn't confirmed it (or something...), I'm still saying it's a slim chance.

But, hey, if it means I can get a hardcover with the Lady of Pain staring at me out of it, I'll be happy. ^_^

I would love to see Planesacpe from S&S and WW. I think they could definitely take the setting to the next level.

Personally there are no other old skool settings I would like to see return ouside of Dragonlance and Planescape. I am eagerly awaiting the DL hardcover Wizards is releasing in the next year. ANyone know exactly when?

The githbook, the planetouched manual, the PS monster manual...

All of this stuff is just icing on the cake, mon ami! The githbook is going to be teh awesome. :)

teitan,

Last anyone here, 2003, though no one know EXACTLY when in 2003.

Mighty Undying One,
I never thought you knew. After all you have more on your plate than anyone. Though if you DID know and weren't saying I'd understand. :)

You would have to have someone else's manbabies.
...but manbabies are involved...
Plus, I have to admit I am not a big PS guy. If I never hear another word of that "people from the planes inexplicably speak bad Cockney" birk and cutter stuff it will be too soon. :)
Well, the cant is mostly a trait of Sigil, not the rest of the planes. Some items of the cant make it beyond Sigil, but not all.
