(Rumor) Sword & Sorcery to publish D20 Planescape?

Yeah, and what's with that "Jazz" Prestige class anyway?

It's a transplanted PrC from New Orleans which has been modified. Instead of being able to play below sea level and swamps; it's special abilities allow you to play in a higher elevation and salt. ;)

Well, if it is happening, then I've heard nothing of it; the only reason I believe that I would know something about it before hand (to answer some questions from earlier) is because WotC has told me on several occasions that IF someone were to pursue the rights to PS, then that individual, once the license was gained, would need to deal with me on at least SOME level. We are well into several projects for 3e PS, all with WotC approval, and WotC has said that they would not want to see all of that effort go to waste. Granted, the "some level" I mentioned earlier could be as miniscule as the company emailing me and saying - "Stop working on the site, we've got PS now", or it could be (and this is what I would hope for and desire) a more in depth and productive relationship wherein we work with the company on site presence, products, or what have you.

Anywho, those are my two greens on the subject. We'll see what happens. :)

I haven't been checking out ps3e much (hardly at all), but if you have done as good a job as the Kargatane did and someone picks up the "real" Planescape license you might just find yourself with freelance contracts. :)

You would have to have someone else's manbabies. If SSS picks PS up I wont have anything to do with it. I just picked up Judges Guild for Necromancer Games and that is enough to keep me busy.

Plus, I have to admit I am not a big PS guy. If I never hear another word of that "people from the planes inexplicably speak bad Cockney" birk and cutter stuff it will be too soon. :)

That being said, I havent spoken to Steve or Stewart Wieck specifically about Planescape so I dont know what they are up to (or if I did I cant talk about it). They would do a great job with it if they did pick it up. Steve and Stewart are studs. So they would be making your manbabies...

Yeah....in 3e, we're probably going to cut the Cant, at least from the rulespeak.

The quotes will probably still have it, but I see it more as a Sigil-only thing. And since Sigil has an overinflated sense of self-importance, many people from or influenced by Sigil have settled the planes.

After all, those on the lower planes probably have an Infernal accent, those on the upper planes probably have a Celestial accent....etc....

It'd be interesting to see a "Slang Common" for different regions of the planes, methinks....

Anyhoo, yeah. Certainly, the accent will be toned down quite a bit. It's one of the things most universally hated about PS, I think, even though I think it's cool. ^_^
