I'm making some progress, and moving as stealthilly as possible. If one or two of you would be willing to mount up in case I need help fast, I'd apreciate it, but unless they are specifically trained observers, I should be able to observe them without being observed in return.

ooc: DC 23 and 25 means even on a natural 20, they'd have to have ranks in spot and listen or a Wisdom of at least 16 to succeed. Always good to have a contingency plan though...

Over the mind link:
Juliana, your horse didn't run, and you probably have the most help to offer should Banion find himself in trouble.

I'm thinking of asking these to accompany us, to keep them safe if they speak true and keep an eye on them if they speak false. They will probably slow us down though. Father Eusebius, which is your greater concern, speed or safety for or from these people?

Eusebius addresses himself to Jenkins.

"My name is Eusebius, monk and priest of the Shining One, the Living Light. I am concerned for your safety here. Will you not come with us to Braeholl - some of you are wounded and there's no telling when another band of orcs might arrive?"

"Or if not, then my companions and I will conduct a sweep of the area, to make sure that it is free of enemies before we go."

The men thank Eusebius for the healing.

Aif doesn't seem particularly interested in the party once he's untied.

"Don't worry about us." he says. "We're going to collect some gear down here, but we'll be staying at the farm. It's all I got."

He then tries to usher any remaining party memebers out of the basement.

Eusebius hangs back, looking around the cellar with a keen eye.

"Well, let us at least help you to take your gear upstairs. After such a traumatic experience, surely some help would not be unwelcome? And the All-Seeing One commands us to take every opportunity to push back the darkness. Now, what can I carry?"

OK. I should really be tracking time better; I think I"ve already screwed it up some. It's just after dark, say 6:05 pm. Banion left at 6:00 we'll say. The battle on the road took place about 5:45. The battle at the farm took place about 5:52. Thus the mindlink will last until 6:42. Mage armor and stuff will expire when appropriate - I'll try to keep track of the time with each post so we'll all know what's going on. Beamer will reach the edge of the woods nearest to the shed on the hill in 7 minutes.

In the basement, the farmhands look to Aif for leadership. Juliana is still walking through the house. Beamer and Boog are on the stairs outside the cellar. Eusebius is the only one still in the room with the farmers.

"Listen, do-gooder, this is my house. Get on out of here." says Aif. He puts his hands towards Eusebius to push him out of the cellar. "I"ve got to prepare some things down here before we're ready to come out and face any orcs who might still be around."

My horse is tied out front if anyone needs it... just in case. Julianna, are you ready to back me up?

Banion creeps the final few feet through the woods, expecting to have a view of his targets any moment now.
