Sounds of heavy footsteps can be heard down the dark passage. The foreign voice shouts again.

"Only death comes to those who cross the Curved Blades of Arcton."

Noone has ranks in Knowledge (geography) do they?

Banion is 100% knowledge free, and in his blissfull ignorance waiting patiently on his opportunity to throw his mindblade at this new threat.

Another group of powerfull people who will probably be wantig to kill me. I suppose from here on in, I should just assume out of every 5 people I meet, two are affiliated with some group that wants me dead... that may be a little optomistic, though.

Similar thoughts to Banions creep through Beamer's mind. First the Talon, then the Dictator of Gotian, and now the Curved Blades of Arcton. Well, maybe they will all catch up to me at the same time and turn out to hate eachother even more than they hate me.

He is unsure how whether his companions will react to a misleading ploy, but decides to try it out anyway. After all, it does not seem honest negotiations would get anywhere at all. "We are emissaries from Idrag, the new Lord Protector of Gotian. He sends his compliments on your aims and wishes to form an ... understanding. Sorry about your little guards, but they did attack us first. You can fight us and leave your organization crippled, or talk to us and perhaps leave us both stronger. Gotian is a wealthy seaport and has access to all varieties of trade goods, which you surely find expensive this far north."

OOC: Beamer's has no knowledge (geography) either.
Bluff +10.
If the mindlink is still up, or Boog puts it up again,

So Gotian is a real place, eh? Can you give me a brief update about it in case your current nemisis actually has some ranks in Knowledge (geo or history)?

"How did you find this place, emmasaries of Idrag?" the voice asks.

OOC:
Gotian is a seaport west of Orussus. It was until recently (the end of Beamer, Banion, and Draig's last adventure: Thirst for Power) run by a council of merchants. Their captain of the guards was Idrag. He lead a coup that the group was unable to prevent resulting in the deaths of the council members. Idrag, his city guards, and possibly a his private militia are now in charge. As far as I can tell, the coup did not seriously weaken Idrag's forces; no civil war broke out. I can dig back and try to provide more information if you want.

"Idrag told us to head toward Braeholl, but before arriving we would see a farm house in a valley with an isolated shed up on a hill that is more than it seems. He didn't tell us how he was privy to such unusual information." Doing his best to sound irritated, Beamer continues, "Unfortunately the hail of arrow fire prevented us from knocking politely."

"Well, if you know Idrag, you know he is not a patient man. If I go back without even meeting with you, I might as well be dead anyway. Besides, killing us will take more of your time and resources than talking to us anyway. As you've already seen, we don't go down to easily."

Beamer looks to his other companions. He whispers, "They may be circling around behind. Should we push forward or fall back? I don't think we should stay here."

let's assume at this point that the mind link has ended.

The silohetted head disapears and a soft conversation ensues in a strange language down the hall.
