OOC: I'll take Sense Motive for +2 Alex.

"So you saw the weapon and then blacked out?" Juliana asks.

Alex...?

"Yes." says Torvin.

I found Poto's original info for Banion. Here it is:
[sblock] Banion has a first cousin(?) once removed whom he has never met. His father's cousin is named Poto Knezer. Poto's mother is Banion's aunt. Poto's father is said to have been a gnome. While it is not so very unusual for a halfling to become involved with a gnome, there have been no documented cases of offspring, thus this story may be apocraphal. None the less, Poto Knezer has been a successful adventurer whose stories are often told in Banion's family. Banion has never met Poto. He is now supposedly high up in some sort of halfling mafia in the Vastermarch & elsewhere. He's supposedly wealthy & connected. He's the only person Banion can think of who might be able to offer protection & employment. Last Banion heard, Poto Knezer was living in the town of Braeholl. This town is not on the map, but is located in the very nothern part of the Vastermarch.[/sblock]

"Well it sure sounds exciting! So what should we do then? We keep this thing out of the hands of assasins and take it somwhere? Our buddies have it right now but i'm sure they'll want to help keeping it out of the hands of any bad guys."

OOC: Sorry for going AWOL without a notice. I've just moved to a new home & office location, coinciding with a peak in work activity, so reading or posting possibilities has been sort of slim. I'd love to continue on S3.

IC:

After sleeping for a night, a day, and a night again, Ogrin is back to being his cheerful self again. Like Razh, he helps train the militia, and joins on some (fruitless) orc patrols. In the next evening, he can be found boasting and telling (obviously untrue) stories in an inn. "Dangerous? This? Pah! Let me tell you about the day I found myself sitting naked under a volcano..."

OOC: Jeopardy joke ;)

OK. That's funny. I totally spaced it when I first read it, but I'm a Jeopardy fan myself. Funny how some jokes can really go flat online. If you'd said that to my face, I suspect I would have laughed.

The old priest head starts to nod off during Torvin's story. The acolyte helps him to his feet and supports him out of the room. He glances defensively at Juliana and Eusebius. "Four Thule can raise the dead. And I'd like to see you two doing that when you're nine & eighty!"

"Please let me rest here for now." says Torvin, eyes downcast. "Let us meet again on the morrow, and discuss the future."

Poto's eyes light up. "You have the weapon?!" he asks Talbin incredulously. "You must tell me all about it. Where did you find it? How did it go? And I must meet your other friends. Where are they?"

"As to what to do with it...well, I hadn't really gotten that far.... " He slaps Banion on the back, and pours him a drink from the pitcher that has been brought to the table. "To the Lorishes!"

"What does this weapon do?" asks Nodis. "Does it burst in flames? shoot lightning? can cleave rocks? makes your enemies' pants drop?"

Beamer spends the rest of the day inquiring about the situation around the town and about what they plan to do with Tharok. He considers going back to ask some more questions, but is not really sure what to do with the creature and wants to let him stew in his own juices for awhile.

Banion, who doesn't normally drink much, sips carefully in response to this toast, and favors his cousin (I guess 'Uncle' was a mistake) with a shy grin.
