OK, According to the 3.5 SRD the Sahaugin's full attack is

Trident +4 melee (1d8+3) and bite +2 melee (1d4+1); or 2 talons +4 melee (1d4+2) and bite +2 melee (1d4+1); or heavy crossbow +3 ranged (1d10/19–20)

What effect, if any, would taking two ranger class levels (and taking the Two Weapon Fighting Combat Style) have on this?

Two-Weapon Fighting only applies when the creature is actually using two weapons (and not using all natural weapons or mixing natural and manufactured weapons), so that would not help with any of the above combos. If the sahuagin was using two sword, for example, two-weapon fighting would help. For the above combos, multiattack would help, but the sahuagin already has that as a bonus feat.

The sahuagin would get +2 to hit with all the above posted attacks. From the BAB 2 ranger levels gives Also he'd get a feat when he picked the first ranger level, so he could take weapon focus.

Favored classes are not necessarily supposed to be mechanically advantageous, first and foremost it's about the game-world flavor of the race. That having been said, there's plenty about Ranger that would help Sahuagin... tracking, favored enemies, wilderness skills, etc. For the single case of TWF they'd start carrying two weapons to benefit.

Maybe use the archery option instead of TWF.

As I mentioned above, the sahuagin has multiattack as a racial bonus feat already. But as dcollins said, there are a lot of benefits from ranger beyond the fighting styles which would benefit a sahuagin.

Hmm, Sahuagin Ranger with Weapon Focus (trident) XWP (net) and Net and Trident style feat...

don't know if it would be effective, but it sounds like fun.

If you want Sahuagin rangers to keep the trident, have them use archery for the combat style. With precise shot, they can hang back and shoot into melee with no attack penalty. Maneuver so that their comrades are not providing cover.
