Saturday PM: Justice? (D&D 4E Dark Sun) - FULL, Accepting Alts

First Post
King Kalak of Tyr's death was followed by chaos and fire in the city - opportunity for adventurers like yourselves. In a few days, walls that had stood a thousand years or more were torn down, and once proud nobles were forced to beg for their lives in the streets. Things have quieted now, with the remaining Templars re-asserting control, but there are still many places where take what you want and keep what you can defend are the whole of the law - such as the outlying manors of the Tyrian noble families.

Many of the great manors were looted and burned, or occupied by their former slaves, but at least one still stands. A day's ride to the south, the Templar Ernod made his home, and his cruelty and mastery of dark arcane arts was legendary. When Kalak died, would-be raiders found the gates of his compound locked shut, and no slaves of his have been seen. Do you dare to plunder where they have failed? Or do you have nobler hopes for the fate of those Ernod once enslaved?

This is a scenario for 4-6 1st or 2nd level PCs. Pre-gens will be provided, but you can also roll your own if you prefer. Character creation guidelines can be found at Character Creation

This game will count as part of the Heroes' Guild of Maryland's ongoing The Waste West-Marches-style game. If you don't care about that, don't worry - it doesn't affect you. But if you would like to bring a character from that campaign (or continue on in it with a character you play on Game Day), see The Waste

If you are not planning on bringing your own character (Xer0, my apologies for Caine's untimely demise on Saturday!), but you'd like to reserve a pregen in advance, here's who will be available:

Rakata (Male Good Human Impulsive Ardent, Athasian Minstrel theme, DarkTouch): You are always the one buying drinks for the table and embellishing the exploits of your last adventuring group - and urging everyone who's been drinking to join your next one! The drinks are there so they don't ask too many questions about what happened to your *last* group of comrades...

Faisad (Male Good Elven Seeker, Elemental Priest theme): You travel the dunes with your tribe, and listen closely to the winds on their behalf. The wind spirits have blown you to Tyr, and you are *pretty* sure that they are telling you to make a lot of money by taking advantage of the chaos they have sowed. The wind spirits often tell you and your tribe to make a lot of money, it seems...

Tikat (Female Unaligned Thri-Kreen Hunter Ranger, Noble Adept theme): Among your tribe, you were respected as part of the mightiest clutch. You honed your skill with the bow and the power of your mind. But you grew weary of being the greatest hunter in your kin-group and so now seek out others to impress.

Zanj (Male Unaligned Eladrin Stone Fist Monk, Wasteland Nomad theme, gkraus1008): What you remember about your parents was their sad eyes, and their stories of the Land Within the Winds. But you came to hate those stories when they sold you as a child to slavers in return for some trinkets the slavers claimed were from that mythical place. You found solace in strengthening your mind and your body, and eventually walked away into the wastes a free man with a dead master behind you. Now you call no man master, but walk the sands for your own purposes.

Trabat (Male Good Half-Elf Wild Battlemind, Dune Trader theme, Xer0): Before the fall of Kalak, you fought for others' gold in the arena, but now you are your own agent, and you will bring new spectacle and amazement to the arena-going crowds! No monster is too terrible, no opponent too skilled, for the astounding team of Trabat and Charos, the greatest gladiators in the world, to take! No purse is too large! You're not a great fan of fighting without an audience, but you and your best friend Charos will take these jobs when you must... business hasn't been *great*, exactly.

Charos (Female Chaotic Evil Gnoll Arena Fighter, Gladiator theme): Trabat is good to travel with because he gets you into fights. But he talks too much! You were planning to eat him last, but you are reconsidering.

I was thinking of bringing an Assassin, is that cool? :D I'll probably still bring a PC with me so that I'll have something to play for other Waste games.
