Savage Pathfinder Savage Pathfinder's Wizard Gets An Update!

Earlier this week, I shared a work-in-progress version the wizard from Pathfinder for Savage Worlds. P.E.G. has kindly send me along an updated version! I'll have a Q&A up here on the site soon. What are the changes, I hear you ask? well, PEG heard you ask too, so hear's an annotated version explaining the changes!

Wish was drafted after Chris and Mike went through and assigned all of the powers to schools, so I think it hasn't been assigned one yet.
Thanks. I was curious because in the original material its listed as "Universal" and I was wondering if the plan was to stick to that. So, no school gets any kind of bonuses to cast it.

Out of curiosity, when the specialist wizard says it gets “one free reroll” when casting spells from their school, is that every time they cast? Once a day? Seems rather non-specific.

Free rerolls are a part of the core rules in the current edition of Savage Worlds. You can take the free reroll whenever you make a roll for the Trait/Skill the ability applies to, even if you succeed (so you can try to get a Raise instead of a normal success.) You take the better of the two rolls, so you don't risk turning a success into a failure.

The only exception is a Critical Failure (rolling snake eyes on your Trait/Skill die and your Wild Die.) In that case, you take the Critical Failure as your result. So there is a risk involved whenever you use this ability, though the odds are in your favor the higher the Trait die is.

If it doesn't have a school in core Pathfinder then we'll almost certainly stick with that.

Will Heal, Cure, etc. finally be added back to the Necromancy school they belong to?
We're sticking to what Paizo did in the core Pathfinder rules. Last I checked, cure light wounds is a conjuration spell so our healing will almost certainly fall under that.

Sir Brennen's got it right.

They are not "part of the core rules" as in available always, there are edges that grant them for specific situations / specific Traits/Skills.
