Say NO to 3.5

Why not this: Just say NO to people who slam people interested in 3.5.

Shadowlord, your comments are an insult to us all. Redirect your anti-3.5 venom somewhere else. Start a website instead of invoking Monte Cook here to justify your opinions.

Trubbul, I have edited your post. Insults aren't tolerated here.

It's okay to discuss the subject... but please don't attack people personally.

Sorry, Shadowlord, but I've already purchased the books on preorder, and most of my group plans on purchasing them as soon as they're at the store.

Your argument seems to stem from a basic assumption that I don't agree with, to wit, you are saying "WotC is composed of charlatans purely bent on making money to the exclusion of even their own best interests". Frankly, I don't accept that.

Some of us preordered 3.5 because we like the changes. Some of us even like ALL of them. If you don't then you've made a valid choice...but to infer that anyone who disagrees is, at best, a mindless follower, is somewhat disingenous.

Oh my, here we go again ....

Really, you -- and Jody Butt -- would be better served airing such a rant on RPG.net. There, you'll definitely find a lot more moral support.

Actually, I think it's fair to say that Jody Butt's rather... precious style isn't winning him a lot of fans on RPGnet either.

baaa! bbaaa!
jasper remembers he is a DEATHWYRM
ROAR! I will eat all your PHB and you will now play first edition
Jasper grabs piratecat bites off the hook to use it as a tooth pick.

Man, it's a great thing that people can speak out about things they don't like - even (and especially!) when they don't have any actual knowledge on the topic. Rumors and theories abound, mixed in with random bits of truth. This is the basis for which to found a decision?

All I can say is: How do you like your Troll? Flamebroiled or just Well Done?

If you want to make a point that will actually have value, I suggest working towards making certain that WoTC doesn't become overly enamored of the idea of reworking the rules every 3 years - if 4.0 were to come out in 2006 like Monte seems to imply, I'd be a little miffed. The best way to do this is through reasoned and consistent feedback to WoTC.

That's exactly what I'm doing. I've been searching for months for a new RPG so by now I know what's out there. And there are many companies that make better products. Mainstream isn't synonym for the best.

You say you are merely thinking for yourself but then you insult people who do not agree with you while making snide comments about how you have found other RPG's that are superior.

Is there a real point to this troll or are you just being your own fanboy?
