Yes folks. I will NEVER stop and I'm 85% sure the Scarred Lands goodness won't either. (At least I HOPE not. Btw Psion, you'd better get more S&SS books. Your collection...really small compared to mine. :p ;) )

So you all know the drill. Ask the Sage. He will reply.
I've really been contemplating getting Shalezar: City of Sins lately. Can you tell me if it is really worth it? Even without the eroticist prestige class (which should have been included in the first place, according to a review).

Elton,

Well I'm in it. (Yes, Bl'ayne Nightfall is an NPC and it's me. Sort of. (Never imagined myself as an Elf but there you are.)

Some more info on the home turf of Belsamite Cult of the Ancients.

Plus some very interesting locales.

Hello. (Beware, if you intend to read further, you must know that my english can be harmfull for native speakers)

I didn't follow closely enough all the threads going about the cancellation of the Scarred Lands (sorry I only play in Greyhawk and the IK :p ) so maybe you're already all aware about that. But I would like to quote here an annoucement that Hexagonal (Publisher of the french edition of the Scarred Lands, also release the English books in France) did in its 28/10 Newsletter.

I'll try to translate it :

"That's now official, the Scarred Lands will no longer be worked on by Sword and Sorcery. The crisis (isn't that word slightly exaggerated ?) of the D20 market in the USA and the will of WW to focus on his three main line of products tolled the knell of this fabulous world. We are waiting for the last agreement in order to start developing ourselves future products !
For now here are the upcoming (french) releases : Blood Sea December 04, Player's Guide to Rangers and Rogues February 05, Slarecian Legacy May/June 05, Player's Guide to Monks and Paladins September 05, and VESH (what is that ?) November 05. If that book encounters enough success, it will be the first one of a huge series that will keep the Ghelspad continent alive for a long time."

You have become better at speaking a sucky English +1. Your English is now officially labelled as "terrible". Congratulation.

Bye.

A player's guide to Vesh? Sounds like a good addition. Finally we may get to know more about the homeland of the Vigils :).

I'll look for more infos about it in their next newsletter and in their D20 magazine.

But since Hexagonal officialy translate in french things like the World of Darkness, Scarred Lands or the LotR RPG, I have a hard time imagining they wouldn't want to translate new Scarred Lands books in english too. Expecially since they seem to work closely with WW for the translations maybe it could work both way, I imagine they could publish the books first in French and if sales are good be published in English by WW the way Arthaus or Malhavoc Press are.

Well I have no idea what their plans really are, but that could be a viable idea don't you think?

Wow. A Player's Guide to Vesh. Rock! :)

Makes me wish I hadn't taken German now. :p

Perhaps, we can produce a German translation for you ;)! j/k

It's interesting, btw, that the announcement specifically mentions the goal to produce more material regarding Ghelspad. A wise decision :).

Hey I'm all for it. Any new SL stuff, no matter the source or content is ALWAYS welcomed by me.

(Course I just need someone to translate french for me. Darn my love of Anime for not going further than Japanese! :p)
