Scheduling for IRON DM 2015

And done. This one was harder than expected... certainly did not feel like having twice as many words at my disposal. It definitely didn't feel any longer. This one took me in a lot of different directions at first, but I feel good about the path I chose. Good luck to you as well, Iron Sky!

Posted! I've read it so many times I can't even see it anymore. I agree, 1500 words was no easier than 750 - still was trimming words here and there to "spend them" somewhere else. So much more I wanted to do with it, so few words to do it with!

It may or may not be relevant depending on the outcome of my match against Gradine, but I'm leaving on a business trip and won't have access to the internet from now until late Sunday night.

This thread is about to fall off the bottom of the page. You still around Rune?

Sorry. Real Life and stuff. Just finished the judgement; just need to proof and post.

In the meantime, to any of the 2nd round contestants: (out of curiosity) did the added ingredient make things much harder?

That would depend on which one was the extra ingredient. :)

Yes, of course. The ingredients should never stand alone, since connecting them results in a more cohesive work. So five ingredients can be tough, six even more so, but when you get to seven it becomes nearly impossible to make all the ingredients relate in some way to the rest.

I didn't really notice much difference. In some ways it made it easier since it gave you more "connection points" to tie things together, in other ways harder since, well, one more thing to keep track of.

I liked it. The word counts have been much harder than variations in ingredients IMO (in a good way).
