i was unaware of that extra synergy bonus (but it sure does make sense, and i was wondering if there was such a thing), and i forgot the epic poison crafter bonus. ;)

We've got some epic critters that are under-synergized! :heh:

is that in the ELH, or the 3.5 PHB?
 


Filling in some blanks...

What natural armor would be appropriate for someone like this fellow?

Base claw damage for a Huge creature is 1d8. we could make that higher, but that might not be necessary. After all, his sneak attack damage is so damned wicked. Plus, he can attack four times per round with his claws, and has poison, and if he really wants to hurt someone he has his dagger anyway. But we can increase that from 1d8 all the same if that still seems appropriate. ;)

Poison - quick kill with the Con damage, or weaken the opponents with Str and/or Dex? Or a combination of those perhaps? (maybe Str and Dex for the initial hit, and then a big ol' Con hit as secondary damage?)
 

CR 28, right? If so, AC should range from 41-54. With his crazy high Dex, nat will probably be kinda low.

I like the Str/Dex damage first...that way he can incapacitate 'em for whatever reason. :]
 

1d8 for claw damage is ok IMO.

For natural armor I think something in the range of 10-15; his focus is on the offense. In any case, he could wear armor, maybe a +5 studded leather with some special abilities for a total AC of +41-46; different types of AC are always good from a design perspective, right?.

For poison I'd say Dex damage: Con damage would probably merit an increase in the CR of this scion.

BTW, I think there are still some issues with the skills. Reading the updated conversion notes, I noticed tumble synergyses with balance, so balance should be 57 (38+15+4).

How about this:
XXXX wears a +5 Ghost Touch studded leather armor of Etherealness. This armor was given to him as a payment for a work well done by the god Remmarl, The Vile Hunter, many years ago.
 

+5 studded leather would actually lower his AC. :) the armor bonus from that armor would be +8, and since the max Dex is +5, that would total to +13.

right now, he has a Dex bonus of +15. :)

why do you say that?
 

Yeah, poison is almost a non-factor at epic levels. The parties in both campaigns I play in are nearly always immune to poison (thanks to the morning heroes' feast). Even if they get hit with a dispel effect, half of 'em are immune to poison from other spells, items, or class abilities, or have high enough Fort saves to laugh at the attack.
