Scoop - What it means to be elite

Hey everybody,

There's a new Roll vs Role article up on the D&D website. It's called "Cruel Shadows" and it's got adventure hooks involving the 4e shadar-kai. That's not all it's got though. It's got at least one bit of crunch in it ...

One of the shadar-kai leaders is an elite soldier, and it is revealed that being elite means he has "+2 AC, "2 defenses and 50% more hit points" than a regular shadar-kai soldier.

Just a small taste of what's to come in terms of the "simple monster advancement/customization tables" or whatever you want to call them.

I did do a quick search of the forum to see if anyone else had started a thread about it first, but since the other thread's title isn't very informative, I missed it.

I got my name on the front page once during a slow news day for speculating on what stat blocks would look like.

I really should go back and see if I was mostly correct. I forget what I put.

I've gotten my name on the front page at least four times now maybe five. And I haven't been on these boards for very long. If it weren't for the fact that 75% of my posts on these boards go ignored, I'm sure my ego would be overly inflated by now ...
