D&D 5E Scroll Casting, casting a spell from a scroll 1 higher than your spell slot

Scroll Casting, casting a spell from a scroll 1 spell slot higher than you can cast, what book and page is the DC check listed?

1st Wizard casting a Web from a scroll, DC is? (and not the Variant: Scroll Mishap)

Or is there even a DC?

DMG Page 139 -
Any creature that can understand a written language can read the ARCANE script on a scroll and attempt to activate it.

Does that include Divine spells

or is that only for the Scroll of Protection?

From DMG page 200, DC is 10+spell level, check uses spellcasting ability.
For your Wizard, INT check, DC 12

The above is when using a spell scroll of a spell on you class list but of level higher than you have slots. Spells not on your class list are auto-fail, on your list at your level, no check needed.
No check needed for Scrolls of Protection. Just need to understand the written language, DMG 139.

Hey Curt, what if you're a rogue with the "use magical ability" feature (that I'm sure I'm totally misremembering the correct name of)?

I guess the answer is the same. The spell is on your list (thanks to your special ability), but above your highest slot (since you have none) so it is still an ability check DC10+spell level.

Use Magic Device for rogues

Hey I found a thread that answers this question specifically! unfortunately i cant post in the link because Im a new user.

this is what is said:

An exception to the rule is the Use Magic Device feature of the 13th-level or higher Thief (Roguish Archetype): "You ignore all class, race, and level requirements on the use of magic items." D&D 5e designer Jeremy Crawford clarified, "The intent is that Use Magic Device does allow a rogue to try to use a scroll."
