Scroll/Wand of Spiritual Weapon?

Obviously his own.

The subtle difference lies in that with SW the spell is doing the striking, not the Character.

Yip. That makes sense. Seeing as the spell strikes based on Wisdom, I'd say it would be tied to the scroll or wand, and hence like the DC be based on minimum Wisdom. Good observation, Pyrex! BTW, is that Pyrex from the Exile series of games?

That's an illogical point. What BAB/Wisdom does a spell have? How does the word 'you' in the spell description refer to someone other than the person using the scroll (except for explicitly overridden caster level and DC)? If you choose to substitute 'creator' for 'you' in one part of the spell description, don't you have to do it for all of them? How do you distinguish between them?

The spell says: "Each round after the first, you can use a move action to redirect the weapon to a new target." Does that mean you need to find the creator of the scroll to direct the SW for you?

No. Actually it's a bit of a joke. I once designed a fire-focused wizard/alchemist with a love of elaborate glassware. :p

Well, that's the rub, isn't it?

The rules specifically call out how to determine the save DC's of a scroll/wand.

The rules *don't* specifically call out how to deal with other caster-dependent variables.

Some people choose to extrapolate the save DC rules to cover all caster-dependent variables of a spell.

Some people choose to use the abilities of the person using the scroll/wand to fill in any caster dependent variables.

The rules aren't clear which approach is "correct", hence I thought I'd collect opinions here. :)
