Scroll Writing Question?

Is there anywhere in DMG mentioned if you can make a multiple spells scroll with DIFFERENT spells, or if it must have always the same kind of spell?
I mean, can you make a scroll with 2 different spells on it, or must they be the same spell?

Since wands can't store different spells (and Staves are anyway subjected to some DM approval), I think scrolls can't as well.
If this is the case, it doesn't really overpower scrolls if you let the PCs make 1 multiple scroll in 1 day (up to 1000gp total), after you decide a max number of spells per scroll (...don't remember if the DMG says 6 in a small table to generate scrolls in treasures). We can say that that max regards encumbrance of the scroll.
A multiple spell scroll would still be 1 item, isn't it?

I agree with daemonslye for the rest: never more than 1 scroll/day, as any other item. If you say you allow someone to make 40 scrolls of 25gp each in 1 day, why not allowing to make 1 scroll of 25gp in 1/40 of a day? Even if you allow such a thing for 1 or 2 hours, that's going to be an important change.
(BTW: not that scribing a page in 1 hour is unreasonable, but it seems to me that everywhere in WotC products, it is very pointed that crafting magic items must go OUTSIDE adventuring)

Let me sum up:

1- a scroll can have up to six spells (DMG, page 204, extrapolated by the results of table 8-22).

2- according to the DMG, page 199, a scroll is "a spell or a collection of spells."

3- "Scribing a scroll requires one day per each 1000 gp value of the completed scroll." as per the DMG, page 245

Results:

A scroll contains from one to six spells. Each scroll, takes a minimum of one day to make and may take more if it costs over 1,000 gp.

The only kicker which refutes this is also on page 199 in the DMG, "A scroll is a heavy sheet of vellum.... which is sufficient to hold one spell." I take this to be poorly written and should be written as "at least one spell."

edit- sorry, right below that passage, it says, "scrolls that hold three or more spells..." so I guess that part is clear.

scribe scroll

The Path of Magic Book - Legends & Lairs series, has the answer that you seek. There is feat called Rapid Scribing -prerec is scribe scroll. this is what it does: "When determining how long it takes to scribe a scroll you must spend one day per 2000gp in the scrolls base price. For spells that cost less than 2000gp, you may scribe multiple scrolls in the day, provided their total value does not exceed 2000gp and you scribe a number of scrolls no greater than your INT modifier in a single day. You must pay 1/15th of the base price in XP when scribing scrolls at this faster rate"

In our game as a house rule I allow the scribing of 1 scroll costing less then 500gp to be done in 4 hours. this can be done on a daily basis if traveling for only 10 hours, + 1 hour to set up and break camp. this allows for 8 hours of sleep. However, if you want to do this while traveling it can only be accompolished in a tent with some sort of table, chair and light source. basically you have to be able to concentrate to do it.

I hope that helps.
