Sealed In Blood - Prologue

Hyanda's eyes gleam for a second (whether in anger or amusement is hard to tell) and then he answers.
" You are bound as much by the laws of your nature as I am by mine, the very fact you manipulate for pleasure displays this clearly. But I do not believe this debate with a creature who is made from the essence of my antithesis will get far, we are after all opposed in all ways. You will find my nature binding because everything must be Law to you and law must bind the weak, and I will find your arguments equally tedious because you choose to perceive laws where there is only nature."

Zardunicxthlyn's obsidian wings stretch out to his sides as the red orb given to him by Luz'Noc flares, and floats above his outstretched hands. The orb floats outward in a predetermined route, and the Arcane Angel gets ready to properly inform the warriors.

In the seconds that follow, a curious elf, Timati appears, followed by a human who goes by Jack of Spades, a half-water elemental cleric named Domaskis, the mysterious Sei-Ryu, a shapeshifter who's nameless, and finally a strange looking paladin, Aidon. Strangely, the tiefling (or Hellfire Dragon, as Hyanda knows) is absent.

What an interesting collection of bargain chips the fiend has now... The angel thinks before he speaks to them.

"My person is of no consequence, your task as appointed by Luz'Noc is to utterly destroy all members of the coven found here, and use this device to imprison their souls, giving it back to me when you are finished."

The angel holds up a bone-white dagger, "To activate it, you simply have to plunge it into their hearts within a short period after their death. That's not too hard for you, now, is it?" He then adds, "However, only a person with a good heart may use it, and no one person may use it more than once."

"When you are ready I will be prepared at this spot to dismiss the summons-to betray me would force me to dismiss it prematurely and make your imprisonment longer." The 'angel' points his finger to the opening in the cave further onwards, where a red light is flashing. "The members of the covey are approximately 600 ft. from this position, cast any spells you may possibly need for the battle, but be forewarned, you have a limited amount of time to finish your task before they might notice you." And with that, the angel steps back and vanishes into the shadows.

Even now you rejoice in trying to taint the souls of the noble don't you? Fiend. And this creature that stands before me, he was once one of the Host, an Archon or an Aasimar, I knew his kind had fallen from the light but I did not think they would become symbiotic with the flesh of a fiend, what a disgusting pervesion.

Timati holds up his hand

"Give me the dagger, Fallen and Fiendbound. I shall take this taint first since I am the least worthy here, I shall at least spare the more noble the burden of this foul thing. "

The arcane angel hands Timati the dagger the second before he slips away in the darkness.

In a far corner within the planes, Luz'Noc smiles, all is going according to plan.

Ardon smiles a bitter smile, At least DawnBlaze is not here to witness this. "Hold Dark one. I have a question. What have these beings done to warrent assassination?" The knight was well aware that if they were here than they were evil but he still wanted to know why this was happening.

Jack throws away his cigarette.
"We'd better go now. We have a job to do. Let's make it quick."
The echo of his last words still lingers in the air as his shape blends in the shadows, becoming quite indistiguishable to all but the the most trained eye, as he steps towards the cave's opening.

[Taking ten hiding (68) and moving silently (68) at normal speed]

Aedon says to the air about him, "Remember this Luz'Noc. You only hold my soul. It is still mine and I still have free will." He then follows at the back of the party.

Jack advances at the head of the group, eventually standing atop the very end of the tunnel they were in. Within its maw, he glances downwards to see a flaring red light which seems to streak off the ground and into the air-there are ghostly spirits surrounding it and circling it which he notices as spectres. And below...there seem to be three purple-skinned crones weaving about in a circle around what appears to be some sort of altar.

Jack can just barely see it, but there appears to be a package, or something wrapped up in the middle of the altar, and perhaps its a figment of his imagination-but it moved.

From where he's standing the hag's are about 150 ft. below and 400 ft. away. He seems to have gone unnoticed (Hide and Move Silently rolls, and those in the future will be disclosed, of course)

Meanwhile, Aedon's call, like his last, is left unanswered.
