Searching for a fighting style

Some of you have probably heard me talking about the Black Spear, which is a nastily powerful weapon I'm presently carrying around in the sunday D&D campaign. It's a two handed spear, adamantium, +5. Yum. I mostly power attack with for lots of damage. It also drinks the souls of the people I kill with it, and has a strong tendency to encourage me towards being powerful and evil. I'm having fun with the roleplaying side of things in this respect.

The DM (S'mon on ENworld) has suggested I learn a fighting style that complements me using the Spear, and possibly also shows me bonding with it and learning it's powers. So I'm trying to find something that'll fit.
I've already discarded the Orask style from Quintessential Fighter - it doesn't really suit me and has far too many prerequisites that are feats I don't want (Endurance, Toughness, Combat Reflexes and Whirlwind Attack). My character is a Power Attacking, Cleaving type. He does lots of damage and is fearsome close up. That's his style. He doesn't move around a lot, he doesn't inspire other people, he isn't flashy. Hit hard till it drops, move to the next target. That's what he does, and he does it well.

Last detail, I've just turned 11th level. 3.5e game. Current alignment NG, but heading towards N I think. Thanks for any help!

The best source for weapon styles IMHO is Masters of Arms by Second World Simulations. The styles are presented as prestige classes, but you can also take the class abilities as feats. I don't recall right off what the prerequisite for the spear master is.

You might want to take a look at Sean K. Reynolds's site, i dont remember where but he had Drow fighting styles, and i believe there was one that specialized in spears. If i can locate i will post the link.

Thanks, guys! I'll take a look at those.

The style has to enforce attack over defense, as the Black Spear's weilders rarely live that long. :D I'm hoping to be the exception to the rule.

How do you cleave with a spear?

Oh, wait, Shishkabob. Ouch.

He shishkabbobed two goblin warriors nicely on Sunday. :)
Most impressive though was killing an 8th level enemy Fighter with one critical hit - with plenty of damage left over...

I'll see you that bit of munchkitude and raise you.

This weekend, the group (~9th-10th level) got ambushed by a jarilith, a 10 HD, CR 13 demon from the MM2. The monster, which is basically a lion from hell, charges out from cover and pounces on the knight, mauling him severely. Then it beats everyone on initiative, and knocks him down to about 3 hit points.

The berserker, knowing that he needs to do something exceptional or the knight is dead, decides to go all-out and Power Attack for max, in hopes of getting the thing's attention.

His first attack is a critical with a +2 keen greatsword for about 60 points of damage. So we're all like, holy frick, that got its attention all right.

So what happens next? His second attack roll of course has to be a natural 20, followed by an 18 to confirm, and 70 points of damage. Can you say, demon salsa?

In one round, the guy took down a 130 hp melee brute with two hits. Didn't even break a sweat.

Then there's the tale of how he shapechanged into a dire werewolf with the aid of an artifact, and proceeded to lay the smackdown on a whole bunch of bloodmages, or how the priest conjured a wall of iron on top of a tower roof, had it fall down three storeys, and crush a hapless infernal plot device. But that might risk painting me as a monty haul DM, so I'll just stop here.

Yeah, power attacking and criticalling is your friend in 3.5e, for sure.

It was perfectly timed. Everyone was extremely happy when I pulled that one off.
