D&D 5E Secret Doors

Many (most) secret doors run into the -5 to Passive perception due to Dim light remember (i.e. anyone relying on darkvision to see) unless there is some other clue (a strong breeze etc) that makes the Perception check to notice the door not rely mainly on sight.

Remember your DC's as well - DC 15 is Medium, and DC 20 is Hard. I would assume many secret doors would be in the DC20 (or even higher) range as a base number being 'Hard' to spot. They ARE secret after all.

A base DC 20 Secret door (say - a sliding bookcase with the cliched pull down book) being casually observed by a creature in Dim Light requires a Passive perception of 25 to spot, which is no easy task.
