Since the Treasury Department duck is under the protection of the Secret Service, would killing it be a Federal crime?

Just curious ... PETA, be damned.

In all honesty, doubtful... but I since you’re going to be hard pressed to hurt it without someway somehow damaging federal property I think they’ll get you on that. ;)

Actually, yes, but not for that reason. Ducks and other migratory waterfowl are federally protected. To hunt them you must get a federal stamp.

Well, that's just ducky, isn't it? But who's fronting the bill? Of course they'll duck that issue. And now we're reading about this feet on the web, and I'm not sure I'm down with it at all. Just bloody cricket, is what it is. :]

;)

Technical Notes:

1. Between formation of the eggs and the time they are laid a oviparous animal is gravid.

2. The duck is brooding. That is, she is keeping her eggs warm by crouching over them and keeping them close to her skin.

So there. :p

mmm...duck...

And sitting on a clutch of eggs? That's a balut appetizer and a main course waiting to happen!

And Torm proves he's such a quack. :p

Yeah, I had some questions about that too, but Torm Anseriformes.

Oh, come on. Anseriformes. Torm Answer i' for me ... Aw forget it. You know how hard it was to come up with a truly obscure duck-related pun?
