Sell a bard's soul for rock and roll

First Post
In a campaign I'm in, our (evil) party has taken a turn for the worse. Now the wizard is undead and the corrupt cop is spellwarped, and the fighter/bard wants to get in on the action. The player has suggested some vile bargain with extradimensional entities. The character has a Wisdom of 6, so this sort of thing seems a really good idea to him.

What kind of rules would be helpful for this? The pact rules from Tyrants of the Nine Hells leapt to mind, and so did fiendish possession and the Taint rules from Heroes of Horror, but I'm away from my books right now.

-I'm not the DM. Most WoTC material is accepted.
-He's a 12th level bard/fighter multiclass who uses oratory and a crossbow.
-We are in Eberron.

There is a pact magic rules set in Tome of Magic. I haven't read it, but if it is anything like the shadow magic in the next section there is PRCs, feats, base classes.

Binder is a pretty fair 1-3 level dip, so backbeat's suggestion isn't half bad. I think the pacts from Fiendish Codex II are cooler, though, and are more directly related to deals with devils. Binders make deals with weird extra-planar entities called vestiges, and sometimes these things take over the binder's personality--but it's not quite the path to evil you're probably looking for. I'd say go with the FCII option.

And when you go with the FCII option, make sure that when the shiny demon shines in the middle of that desert road, you've got enough ranks in Perform to play the best song in the world.

Thanks for the ideas, everyone. I'm going to meet up with him tonight and look through Tome of Magic for vestiges that could look a little devilish. We're open to flavour changes. In fact, my anima mage in the campaign uses Xoriat-based binding. Knight of the Sacred Seal looks promising.

I'll bring along the Fiendish Codex 2. The actual pact system in there might not be used but the feats might.

Keep the ideas coming, though. We have at least a week to think about this.
