Dude.

It's all good. We get Star Wars, Batman, Fantastic Four and then Serenity.

Ever hear about saving the best for last? ;)

PS - I'll say 10, just to get the ball rolling.

Fair enough.

But for Serenity, the poll better go to 12.

I hope not, Hitchhiker's Guide is opening April, and that's the one I have the highest hopes for. Besides if we use that order, Fantastic Four will be better than Batman Begins, and by the sound of things, that's less than likely. :)

I think you mean we get Sin City, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Kingdom of Heaven, and then Serenity, so it's all good... :)

Well yeah. Y'all got the point. I forgot about Hitchhikers & Kingdom. There are other genre flicks that I'm sure we are all forgetting as well. :)

I didn't care much for Firefly when it was on, though I had hoped I would because I like most of the other projects in which Joss Whedon has been involved over the years. However, having been given some time now to reflect more on his work, and the overall body of work of the half a dozen plus actors involved, I have to admit to having had a change of heart. I am now looking forward to it and thinking that the format might be what is best for it. I'm thinking that a series of movies based around these characters, or in this particular universe, over a number of years might turn out to be a better project in the long run than a handful of years as a series.

Have you watched it again on DVD, all of the episodes, in order?

Initially I wasn't terribly fond of it myself but as the series went on it grew on me. Once I got the DVD set and watched all of the episodes in order it really hit home just how good it is, and I'd much rather have an ongoing television series than a number of movies.

No, I haven't. But that's what I have heard and why I think the longer format might be better for the type of story he's trying to tell with this. Several movies over a five year period might be an alternative to a whole season of the series.
