I have gone over there with a 12th level char. The thieves camp is on a map in there. In the camp you can buy all the thigns that the deaf dude in the tavern sells. There is also an alter in there I have yet to figure out what to do with. I peridoically visit it in order to try things with the alter.

Also brought my 7th level char into the undead cave to see if I could figure out how to get past a doorway in the second level.

I have seen a DM use the boatramp area for high level char adventure.

When I do runs like that I tend to go through fast and only fight if something egts close. Should I be killing anything I spawn or leaving it alone. I genraly leave it as a low level can kill them for xp.

And yes you need to be evil to access the thieves camp. Or maybe it is non-good. Don't know as char in question is NE.

Well I managed to sell the 2 "jade tooth" itms i had for sale. So they are off the market. Thanks Laura Croft... you got a good deal on them.

Hope to see everyone on Chainmail again sometime soon in the future. Untill then I will miss you all. Have fun.

Peace

Again, for the non-PoA literate, do you think you could give a general idea of what level characters should go where? At 6th level, the sage was still telling me that I should be staying west of town.

AREAS, LEVEL RESTRICTIONS – Path of Ascension was designed to give all levels of characters plenty of challenging areas to explore. The keyword here is ‘challenging’. We believe that in order for a game to be fun and rewarding, it should be challenging. Taking your 10th level paladin through the beetle caves and cleaning them out is NOT a challenge. It also prevents the area from being used by (low level) players who would be challenged by it.

Because of this, we STRONGLY discourage players from adventuring in areas that are beneath their character level. How does one know if an area is beneath your level? A good rule of thumb is to examine the monsters you find in it. If they come up as ‘Effortless’ or ‘Easy’, then the area is probably too low for you to be in. You can also look at the entry in this guide titled, ‘AREAS, LEVEL RANGES’

Sometimes you must pass through a low level area to get to a higher level area. If you need to do this, do NOT loot the low level area. If you encounter a monster on the way , you may fight it, but then move on. If you decide to loot along the way or decide to fight the boss monster, then you can expect to be either killed, your character invalidated, warned, or even banned. Also you should be mindful of lower level parties in the area. If you need to pass through an area that is easy for you, and you see there is a low level party in the area. You should defer to them. If you can get through the area without spawning monsters near the party or interfering with them, do so as quickly as possible. If not, you should wait or ask permission from the party before going through the area.

Sometimes a low level area will contain a plot item that is only found in that area. If you need that item, you may enter the area but you should follow the same guidelines as in the previous paragraph. Get in and get out quickly, don’t loot, and don’t disturb lower level parties.

Please see the entry titled ‘AREAS, LEVEL RANGES’ for a listing of what our DM’s will generally consider is proper for the given area. If you are outside these levels and looting in the area, expect something bad to happen.

No such place as the Tainted Desert.. on our PoA it is the Tainted Plains

Much fun was had last night with a certain ball of light sending an Adimantium Statue chasing me all over the Forgotten Forrest. Not to mention a bunch of constructs that looked familiar from Chainmail. Then a quest which involved the slaying of A Dragon or 3 and some baby ones and recovering a Golem's heart. Dying 3 times in just a few minutes last night I almost thought I was back in Chainmail. With that in Mind the penalty for death is whacked out. I had Around 180000 GP and loast 20000 the first death, Around 18000 the second time And then on the third around 16000 and My boots of Speed. Definatley isn't 10% of my Gold. Not a biggie as the loot found made up for this. :). I am beginig to realy like my new Character. A Fighter 9 Paladin 2.
