Setting Secrets to be Revealed

There are things I NEED to know about Eberron. Mainly about the dragonmarks, because they fascinate me.

The Wars of the Mark: a house of elves bore the mark of death. What were its powers, and why were they exterminated?

Mixed marks: how/what do they do, and why were they such a threat?

Khyber marks: I want these, oh yes oh yes.

I suppose there will be products, particularly about the Khyber marks, eventually.

Is it wrong that I want Siberys and Khyber marks to work more like Solar and Abyssal Exaltation? I want there to be circles of magic unavailable to unmarked spellcasters. I want prestige classes (beyond Heir of Siberys) for Siberys-marked heroes, maybe a Warrior of Siberys, High Sorceror of Siberys, that kind of thing, who are Heroes with a capital H.

Oh, and I also want dragonshard powered space vessels something like spelljammers, but I'll probably have to homebrew that. :)

Most of the questions you have asked may never be officially answered. At the current time, no official answers are forthcoming about the war of the Mark, neither are there any official answers about the Mournland's cause by the same token.

The Arberrant Marks are considered dangerous because their effects were unpredictable. It has been rumored that they also caused mental instability in those who had them. For better or worse, all aberrant marks at the time were extinguished, and order enforced among the houses. There still are aberrant marks, but they are rare, though not currently persecuted if I understand correctly.

The War of the Mark was not about the Mark of Death, it involved combat between the "True" dragonmark houses and everyone else (with aberrant marks).

The destruction of the house bearing the Mark of Death was because one matriarch in the house sought to combine elven and dragon blood in an attempt to bring the two sides who were historically enemies together. Thus her daughter Vol was born. However both dragons and elves alike saw Vol as an abomination, and took action against the house, utterly destroying them.

Vol is the last "living" creature with the Mark of Death, but because she is undead, its powers are non-existant.

All this information can be found throughout the ECS.

Much of what you're asking for will likely not exist in future products, though there is a possibility. The "space ship" is extremely unlikely though I suspect.

Yeah, I knew I would mix those up.

Thus, the reason it was destroyed, which I guess I missed, but not the powers of the Mark of Death.

I think, on the big "Ask Keith" thread here, that I vaguely recall him saying that the Khyber marks would probably be addressed at some point. That was a very qualified sentence.

The "space ship" is extremely unlikely though I suspect.

And that's why I'm making my own dragonshard jammers. Khyber shards bearing earth elementals for gravity, fire for heat, air and water for life support, and a siberys shard for propulsion. Works for me. :)

It's not wrong, but it's pretty unlikely without some house-ruling. Hellcow (Keith Baker, creator of Eberron) has stated his preference for a low-power level world in the past, and the ECS bears that out. Exalted power levels and Eberron seem to mix like peas and ice cream. :)

(My apologies to all lovers of pea ice cream.)

If anyone likes pea ice cream, they are a RARE breed indeed.

But I imagine one of the powers for the House of Death is animate dead and/or create undead/greater undead.

An Exalted Based game using Dragonshards/other Eberron stuff does sound but I doubt that any of it will make into a future Eberron product.

Myself, I'd like to see combining spellfire with the various dragonshards to make some SERIOUS powerupage.

How dare you mock the glorious Pea Ice-Cream. FOOLS!!

Sibeyrs Jammers do seem pretty cool. I always wanted to do a psionic powered spacejammer campaign, with psionics replacing spellcasting as the norm, but I would love to see your version.

You've never had mint ice cream then, I assume :D
On the contrary, I've had mint cholocate chip. Let's just say I made the world record for vomiting ice cream the farthest. It was quite a reaction but it was an honest one.
