Sex with the DM

As the husband of a gamer, I have spent time as the DM and the player, and I only hope our relationship never devolves to the point that sex is really just a ploy for magic chainmail or a higher point-buy than everyone else. I do think a bribe of magic weapons for bottle and/or diaper duty during game time is perfectly reasonable, though.

PS: Most girls won't sleep with a guy simply because of restaurants, gifts, or XP. Now I ain't sayin' she's a gold digger, but she ain't messin' with no broke....well, you know the song.

I'm the regular GM, and I have never been offered sexual favors for in-game bonuses. I've even offered in-game bonuses for sexual favors, but to no avail!

This is exactly why my group does not allow couples to play in our group. Every single time we've had a couple in our group, there has been some instance of preferential treatment. No matter if its DM to player or player to player!

How do you handle it when the game itself generates a couple, i.e. they met via playing in the same game (this happens more often than you might expect)? Kick one of them out?

As someone who runs a game in which my wife is a player....

I can assure you that having sex with the DM in no way influences my treatment towards her character.

In my home the couch is the sweet spot to sleep. I have little kids and they get up early, the couch is the last place they come to .

To answer the question. I'm heterosexual...most of the people in my group are males...and you couldn't get me drunk enough to have sex with any of them. The otehr member is my wife...and well yeah I'm having sex with her. Does that affect how I treat her in game? Naw...she has never died in my campaigns...however she's a smart player.

I'm there if you do! I think self-esteem is a huge part of it. I think showering and taking care of yourself is part of it, too.

Don't take offense to this...but how old are you? I could understand this with younger groups where "significant others" may be more fleeting. In my younger years girlfriends came and went, however the guys I gamed with stayed.

However...

This mentality wouldn't IMHO wouldn't fly in older groups. I'm not telling anyone their wife/husband couldn't play, and no one is telling me that my wife couldn't play.
