While NTensity is having difficulty even finding his way through the maze of tunnels under the streets of old Tacoma, Juno watches as the two young trolls argue among themselves for a second before the pair step out of the shadows and hesitantly (but still trying to appear tough) step forward. One of them yells out "Hoi chummer, this here a private lot. Wats you wants to park here ye's gots to pay, oi". The cyber-thief had to suppress a smirk as the troll's voice had a mixture of deep baritone she would expect from a troll but peppered with high pitched squeaks mixed in.

After a short negotiation, the troll gangers agreed to the ‘parking fee’ of 50¥, and 100¥ more when the team returned (30¥ for each team member) and quickly unload the van of their gear. By the time Ntensity returns his astral scouting the group has started donning their chemical suits and gas masks. When that is done there was a minor complication of getting Fluffy down into the tunnel itself but the troll was able to simply pick the drone up and carrying it one-handed down the latter, which was not far especially for someone over eight feet tall.

That settled the team made their way through the old tunnels. They all note that there has been little maintenance down here for many long years. Some of the concrete has cracked so badly that there are large section of the ceilings and walls that have collapsed. Not enough to impede the team’s movement.

After 40 some minutes of following the map AR overlay the team found themselves at section of the wall where the ‘workout’ part of the mission needed to start. Taking turns with the tools provided the team broke through the wall after about an hour. All were covered in sweat and dirt by the end but a large section of the plastisteel security wall was now visible. With ample applications from the catalyst sprayer cans the plastisteel started to almost instantly bumble and break down. Within five minutes most of it had dissolved and the team was able to easily pull the rest of it away revealing a thin metal vent siding behind it.

Breaking that open was fairly easy and beyond was a dark ventilation tunnel. This system seemed fairly large, but even so, Ntensity figured it would be a tight fit for him to try and go very far through it. There was reddish flashing lights coming through a grating opening about twenty feet to the west while towards the east the tunnel turned sharply ninety degrees to the south about thirty feet away…

GM: As I mentioned wanted to move it right up to the adventure, so hope this was cool. When traveling through the tunnel you can all make Perception checks if you wanted…
[sblock=DC 10]These tunnels are in very poor repair but you don’t think they are going to collapse any time soon. There is a lot of rotten garbage and rats down here.[/sblock]
[sblock=DC 15]These tunnels are in very poor repair but you hope they will not collapse on you even though you have noticed there they have in fact collapsed in some places. Luckily the map provided by Mr. Johnson seems to follow the most direct and least damaged section of these tunnels. There are a lot of ill looking garbage and debris, whose origins you don’t want to think too hard about, down here. Lots of rats also. You also think that you spotted at least one or two metahuman farther back in the tunnels. Probably squatters. Whomever they were they seem to be avoiding your team, moving away from you.[/sblock]

There are a lot of ill looking garbage and debris, whose origins you don’t want to think too hard about, down here. Lots of rats also. You also think that you spotted two metahumans down here, farther down one side tunnel. You think they were orks but are not 100% sure as when they saw the team’s lights they fled farther back and deeper into the storm drain systems. You are fairly confident they wanted nothing to do with you or your team or anyone else for that matter.[/sblock]

Once in the ventilation duct you can go towards the grating/access point to the west which is about 20 feet away or go to the east and see what might be down that direction.

By the time Ntensity returns his astral scouting the group has started donning their chemical suits and gas masks.
The troll opens his blue peepers and turns off the music: "All clear down there 'cept for some rats and spiders near the light points. Didn't see no ghouls, thank you very much." A shrug of huge shoulders, "Doesn't mean there's nothing on'e electronic side of things, o' course..."

He then leans against the van with a smirk and proceeds to just look at the others putting on their hazmat suits, twirling his own mask around a beefy finger...

If anybody asks: "Those things are gonna rip the *second* there's any action." Or a piece of rebar sticking out the wall. Or whatever.

He keeps his in the backpack, for when they hit *really* contaminated areas -- like the vault where Az likely keeps the thing -- their Rejo.

OOC: NTensity will put on the mask, but not the suit.
OOC: Perception roll, second time around: walking in the underground: 1D20+2 = [18]+2 = 20. Whatever he sees, he doesn't share.

[At the vent entrance]
Sotto voce: "First step's getting Sov to an access point, right?" NTensity struggles to put his mask back on, having taken it off during the digging -- You can't f**ing *breathe* through that thing!

[sblock=Actions]Astral perception, please. What does the barrier look like (I'm assuming there is one, right?). How far into the vent system would NTensity have to go be considered to be 'on the other side' and able to do some astral scouting?[/sblock]

GM: [sblock=NTensity]When the catalyst spray was applied to the platisteel barrier and started resolving it you saw that sandwiched within the barrier itself was some sort of biogel. It quickly dies as the barrier is being resolved. After the platisteel is gone so is the barrier so you could astral project if you want.

Also if you are not wearing them chem suit you need to make a Constitution save DC 10 or pick up an illness... and laying down in the storm drain to astral project might not be a good idea[/sblock]

Once inside the facility, Davos removes his chem suit and mask and stows them in his pack.
"Master Diggs, can Fluffy relay data from its visual sensors?"

Perception [roll0]

Feeling a little warm in the chemsuit and gas mask, Juno peered into the opening they'd made, up and down the ventilation shaft. Her cybernetic eyes shifted wavelengths, adjusting for ambient light levels, until she had a decent-resolution image, albeit without the color nuance that visible light spectrum would have.

"I'll go in first," she volunteered. "Take it slow, quiet, and try to find any weak points before Intensity goes in."

Unless anyone objects, she then makes good on that plan, ducking into the shaft and carefully making her way through it to the west, following the map...avoiding larger areas of trash accumulation as much as she could and trying to stay alert for threats.

Listening carefully Juno does not hear anything but the soft buzz of the air circulation system kicking on and off. Nor are there any noises that she can detect coming from past the vent...

"You guys crawl on ahead. I'll have a looksee what's behind door numero uno." If nobody's gonna mention that flashing red light to the west, f*** if NTensity's gonna mention it either... He's not feeling all that reassured about it though...

Running ain't for p***ies though. He sits his troll ass down on the dirt and rubble they made piercing through that wall - *way* better than lying in whatever muck's flowing down the center of these stormdrains - starts the music on his headphones and... goes astral.

Way quicker than the last time too.

[sblock=Actions]Astral-NTensity will poke his head through the grate to the west and then recon the room there. He'll then Manifest within the vent and tell Juno what he's seen

Disease save: Birthday suit: 1D20+2 = [19]+2 = 21. Yeah troll CON![/sblock]
