Shapechange questions

At least that'd stop the wizard splitting himself repeatedly and then casting still, silent, material-free spells at the rate of 1 a round for every hitpoint he has...

Well, for every 10 hit points. 3.5 Puddings can't split once they get below 10.

Wouldn't it be nasty, though? The wizard Shapechanges; his cohort dices him into half a dozen segments; then the Magic Missiles start...

... especially if each Pudding had the wizard's full spell selection available, though I suspect you'd draw them from a communal "pool"...

Does anyone know how hit points are affected when you assume a creature with different HD than your character level?

For example, if my 19th level wizard changes into a 37HD dragon with Con 31, is that Con modifier applied to 19th level, or 37HD? That's obviously a huge difference.

On the other extreme, if I assume the shape of a flea (no HD? 1/8 HD?) how do I apply the Con modifer, HD or level?

Using the character's level and ignoring the creature's HD seems to be the easiest way to handle this.

Your hp always stay the same regardless of Con modifiers.
