The young man, still holding his cup of tea, wanders over to the board, and reads the note. He looks at the warforged and the gnome, giving them a quick look-over, and approaches them.

"Mr Weeklesworth and Mr Swift, I presume?"

"Yes, that would be me," the gnome says. "And my warforged bodyguard is Swift. Are you interested in the job?"

"Yes, master gnome, if the conditions are right. I have adequate means of dealing with attackers, but I might need someone a bit more physiscal..."

He looks at the shifter sitting at the next table.
"Excuse me, mistress. I would be in your debt if you would reconsider joining the caravan trail from Sharn to Wroat as a guard. You seem quite fearsome, and I'm afraid I might need someone to watch my back if things get tough."

Calren looked from his apple to the note. Giving Ghostsnout a slight tap on the muzzle to tear him away from his food, he directed him over to the note. Calren hmmed as he looked it over, then glanced over at the gnome and warforged. In halfling, she spoke to the clawfoot "What do you say Ghostsnout, feel like taking a trip to Wroat?" The clawfoot glanced back over at its interrupted meal of rabbit and stomped a foot. "I'll take that as a yes. Ok, give us a few moments here and then you can finish your breakfast"

Calren directed Ghostsnout over to the hiring duo and switched back to common. "So, about how far is it from here to Wroat, and what're you paying?" The clawfoot sniffed in direction of the gnome and warforged, opened its toothed mouth wide and hissed at them, as if to emphasise payment. Calren patted him on the head, indulgently. "Please pardon him, he's hungry"

After he shrinks back in fear and wrinkles his face in disgust at the sight of the clawfoot's mouth, the gnome speaks. "Wroat it about 400 miles to the north, give or take," he says. "I need guards to beef up my caravan security from here to Wroat. I am paying 500 galifars, half now, and half when my business is done in Wroat. I won't need you after that point, as I am settling in Wroat for an indefinite amount of time. Oh, and you are on your own for returning to Sharn or wherever you are going. Fair enough?"

"Are you providing food and equipment or are we expected to provide that ourselves? Wouldnt want my friend to have to scavenge you know. Could get messy if he gets hungry or I couldnt control him due to a snapped harness. Other then that little quibble, it sounds like a good deal."

"Well I can't have you passing out from starvation, now can I?" he reponds. "Basic food is covered, for you and your mount. You provide your own equipment, though."

"You have yourself a caravan guard, then I suppose. If you'll excuse me, my friend here is complaining about his breakfast so I'll let him finish it up." Calren let the clawfoot go back to its rabbit as he started to slide off it's back. Using his Sharash as a vault, he landed near the gnome. "Do I need to sign anything or something? You city folk always seem to like papers and triplicate signatures."

You sure you be gonna get attacked?

OOC: [sblock] My plans with this character were to take the first mission combat mission. Being
a guard kinda borders that, Would you only need the three of us?[/sblock]
